  1. Actually, tonight I'm on Big Mountain in White Fish, Montana. I've been checking in on the Bulls for the last two weeks being out here. Return to Florida on Saturday.
  2. OK. AD is the only reporter that keeps SW Florida abreast of USF athletics. Otherwise, its pretty barren down here.
  3. Hey Bulliever; For someone in AZ your'e tapped into things happening in Sarasota. Are you from there? I live in Charlotte County (and do alot of business in Sarsaota) and we receive the Herald Tribune at home and was going to post today's Simms article.
  4. I agree with the Simpson return. Didn't we score just before the half against Louisville and their return man took the kick-off and ran it back inside our five yard line? I thought is was great hustle for the guy to come from the backside and save a TD. Who knows what would have happened if UL scored just before the half and get back in the game. Also agree with the Jenkins play saving the TD. Great hustle!!
  5. I live in Charlotte County and was not aware CJL was speaking. Obviously would have wanted to attend the event. With over 100 people attending either I missed the article or the newspaper should have advertised better. Oh well.
  6. Isn't the quote of "academic underperformance" understated? I heard at one time the graduation rate of his BB players during his tenure was a stellar 0.00%.
  7. Sorry to see them leave as they both seemed liked quality guys. Best of luck to them.
  8. Is that a recent image of the sign? It does not have the new iconic "U".
  9. We've lost an Athlete/QB (Grooms); a RB (McCluster) and a WR (Harvey). Also, Darrel Davis commited to NCSU. Most of these have occurred since our stellar offensive performance in the Bowl. I think they saw our offense in the game and it diminished their desire to play here. Have we had any defensive recruits decommit? Curious it has been offensive players that have bailed.
  10. Off topic to this thread but it would be interesting to hear his take on the embarrasing play/conduct of UM game against LSU.
  11. My wife got me a cool golf bag and club covers from the Pro-shop at the "Claw"; sleep pants and shirt and gym shorts. I guess its implied that I've got the ok to play as much golf as I want since my wife got me the bag?
  12. Alex; Best of luck to you. I always pulled for you because it was great to see someone from New Smyrna Beach do well. Both my parents were born and raised there and my dad played football for the 'Cudas back in the 50's. Its a great, small beach town. Wish you continued success. "Go Bulls"
  13. Going to be at the tourney Friday. Lots of great national talent will be there.
  14. Leak better stay at UF. He is a bit short and slow for the NFL. I saw several balls batted down at the line of scrimmage and DL tackling him from behind when scrambling. Portis will likely head back west. With Snead de-committing from UF to and then to Texas, opens door for Tebow. I thought UF looked very average during the year and was hoping that some of their recruits would give USF a serious look at USF. For some reason, beating an average and over-rated FSU team got some recruits excited again. I can't see. I think it says something about their lame offense when two highly touted QBs (Portis/Snead) bail on the program.
  15. So since we are on-line pundits, why the change in philosophy from going from risky plays late in the UConn game to going for field goals in the first half this week? IMO, we should have gone for the field goal last week and then gone for a second field goal to win the game with little time left. Yes I'm a Monday Morning Quarterback but the two field goals were a higher percetage move than what we used. My point is; why the sudden change in game plan ?? Yes each game is different but we were underdogs to WVU with little to lose and this week we take the percentage play? Oh well. Hope to see you Charlotte.
  16. I can't effing believe this we are in a New Year's Eve Day Game. Congrats Bulls !!!!
  17. So what is the USF Hotel? I want to start making reservations. New Years Eve in Charlotte isn't too bad. I'm stoked!!!!
  18. So this week we kick field goals inside the five yard but last week we go to the "Vodoo 5"? Good thing we have a sound and principled offensive philosophy that dosen't waver. One must wonder if the wrath from this website hasn't impacted coaching decsions this week.
  19. you don't hear the HOT playing?? The game sounds so "corporate" and non- traditional. I really can't handle "Here come the Bulls" anymore. I have listened to many college games on the radio but I have yet to hear the band. which is part of a rich college traditon. Sorry for ranting!!!
  20. and have two field goals. So WTF?? We are giving this game away. We are in the Bigs now and we can not continue to play ball like this.
  21. I talked with a friend of mine yesterday from Atlanta who had talked with a WVU alum. My friend said the WVU alum was condescendingly viewing this game as he was mocking the directional school name; program had only been around nine years; choked on UConn and was not deserving of a BCS Bowl Game. I hope we make jackasses like this eat their words!!
  22. Taking a group of family and friends to game Saturday night. Looking forward to having fun. Only downstroke is daughter wants to Christmas shop at International Plaza before the game!!
  23. I was a little suspect of this post, particulary the reference to the "moes and joes" where blame is shifted to the players and away from coaches. Leaders take blame for things that fail and share praise when successful. I have to admit I have always liked how Spurrier would accept responsibility for a loss by stating staff "didn't coach 'em up well".
  24. This loss is squarely on the coaching staff. Yes, there were several bad plays by the players but the coaching ineptness, particularly on offense, was the difference. UConn gave us several chances.
