  2. I had a thigh bruise playing football back in HS. Couldn't believe how painful and slow healing that was.
  3. No, but she will be bringing it to other games. Great idea to have the cheerleaders sign it. It is very meaningful to her to get an autograph and have a brief convesation.
  4. Stefan LeFors was a small QB but had a very successful college career.
  5. I also agree that we will get better but my concern was that this was/is a solid I-AA team that was able at times to run the ball and able to create holes in the line. Thought being what would a team with a stronger line/better backs be able to accomplish. Although statisically we didn't give up much, which we shouldn't, I think we they exposed some ares that need improving. Regarding the secondary, this may be our best/deepest we have ever had. Trae Williams is a freak.
  6. My daughter go a calendar and started getting autographs. She is bringing it back next week and to other games to continue to get autographs.
  7. I thought the secondary looked great, more particulary Trae Williams. That guy has the quicks big time.
  8. I liked the passion of Tolley when he got in. The dude was stoked when someone made a 1st down near the goal line. The guy was pumped!! Great to see that in an O-line man.
  9. I guess I need to learn the edit function. I should have said it's not the tightest spiral. Bernie Kosar didn't throw a good looking pass but his results were what mattered. That's what I hoping for with MG. I noticed that PJ STILL locked onto one receiver when throwing. MG would look the the field and then throw. PJ seems to be a quality guy as he was supporting MG when coming off the field.
  10. I thought is was Dile that got hurt? I've been wanting to know their status.
  11. Great represetation by the students; very supportive of the team and players. Also, props to the HOT. I thought they showed a lot of enthusiasm.
  12. Other than tonight, I've never seen him throw. Hate using cliches' but he throws the "catchable" ball, meaning the ball didn't have much velocity. Also, it's the the tighest spiral. But, the guy is going to be a great QB. He played as I hoped he would in his 1st game. I like the pace of the game when he was in. To me, he looked comfortable but in his interview, he said he was extremely nervous. Great 1st game.!
  13. How about the option in the end-zone on the 3rd and 23 in the 1st quarter where the QB pitched back into the end? High risk play with little reward. This was the play before the muffed punt for their TD.
  14. D-line needs lots of help! There were several sustained drives with MState getting five yards a carry. I don't know the answer but it is very concerning.
  15. As a thought, could or should have the seniors or captains taken on more of a leadership role trying to stop this behavior? Of course, making the assumption they were aware of their activities. I recognize you can't control all players all the time, but I do find it distressing that a Senior QB/leader can't influence his younger brother's behavior, especially when that player has a chance to start. This is not an indictment on PJ, but asking what leadership characteristics can we expect from the seniors or captains?
  16. It's about time the News-Press started covering the Bulls because there is a huge void here in SW FL. You would think with Gatchette, Allen, Johnson and Plancher being from SW FL and now getting PT, they will start getting us some Pub. It's sickning having to endure 'Canes and Gator crap all the time from that rag. Maybe, they could actually have a photographer travel the 130 miles to the Ray Jay. Novel idea.
  17. Agreed that we shouldn't overlook McNeese State or any other program. I'm sure they will be a fundlementally sound, well coached team. Several years ago, I saw Lousianna-Lafayette give the Nat. Champions Mighty Florida Gators all they wanted. Of course, Jake Delhomme was QB and Brandon Stokely (Indy Colts) were playing. So, there will be talent we will have to deal with.
  18. Great article! This guy is a winner and have additonal respect for him. Glad he's a Bull!!
  19. I've been surprised that Jarriett Buie's name hasn't been mentioned much this fall. I thought he would have separted himself and locked down one of the DE postions.
  20. How about a two back set with Plancher and Ponton? Love it that we have depth at QB and RB!!
  21. I agree 100% with Mike G in that PJ will start but hopefully MG and GG will get plenty of game reps to see how they will handle the speed of a game. I am very interested in seeing how they respond. Sometimes the best practice players aren't the best gamers. I recall last year that CJL pulled PJ and replaced him with C-Hill to ignite the offence. So it is possible that a younger player with less experience will get some PT. What year was Denson when he started last year against Penn State? Finally, with the emergence of Plancher and Ponton, maybe we can go to a two-back set and run the ball more and take addtional pressure off the QB.
  22. Those are great pics. Really liked the action sequence on GrothE throwing the ball.
  23. Also, Kevin Dixon of Garden City CC in Kansas will transfer in next year. He is originally from Sebring and is 6-4" and 275 lbs DL. Go Bulls!
  24. My understanding is that UF has received verbals from four of the Lakeland players. UF is killing us in our own backyard.
  25. Is it me or is Coach Clark bigger than our LBs?
