  1. Two other close call that obviously USF lost on was the Pass Interfence on Roberts (?) coming over the top near PSU' s goaline and the 3rd and long with PSU in the 3rd Quarter and their QB didn't reach their 20 yet was awarded the 1st down at the 21. No, these calls would not have altered the game but they were definately a Big Ten lean. I saw alot of positive things for the Bulls that I am optomistic and we should have a good season. Looking forward to the "ville coming in and upsetting those guys!
  2. I agree with BeastieBull. I'm a Grothe guy and think he has the right attitude and great upside.
  3. No. We live in Deep Creek and our house got hit hard. Its currently being rebuilt and should be back in within the next six weeks. Been living in North Port for the last year. Did you play FB at CHS?
  4. Hey USFootball; Good to see people from Punta Gorda cruising this site. I live in PG too.
  5. Great post RTB!! I'm ready to roll with the guys we have that have sacrificed and curenntly paying the price to ball! I have always supported both Grothe and Hill because they wanted play for USF and didn't "settle" to be here. It's crap about BS. I hope he enjoys his third recruitment process after he leaves JUCO. Dude must like the pub he receives about which team he is going to play for. This speaks volumes about his character. If it dosen't work-out for the guy, he can always go the Areana League route to the NFL like McPherson!!
  6. I'm sorry to see McCullough go but I have been very disappointed in his lack of growth and development and he certainly did not perform up to expectations or potential. I closely watched him last year (and was personally pulling for the guy to succeed) but when finally got PT, he was slow off the ball. I wish him the best of luck.
  7. I've been thinking the same thing. I'm sure the guys are utilizing the new facilities and working out hard. We need to be in great shape in order to match-up with the increased competition on our schedule. Hopefully, we won't cramp-up like we did against 'Bama.
  8. Hey Bull 94; I agree with all your points on your post.
  9. I'm stunned. My thoughts are CJL took the safe route because there is not enough time to implement a different or tweaked offensive scheme this year.
  10. A friend who lives in Boca Raton e-mailed me this AM to let me know about an article in their newspaper that states UCF is BS's favorite at this point.
  11. I agree some sort of inter-active pre-game show could be implemented. I don't like using other school's pre-game/entrance as an example but I have seen better than ours. Also, I watched the team arrive via bus at RJ. That was pretty uneventful entrance and then walking to the dressing room. Again, other schools with deeper traditions do things differently that involvle the fans and teams. I do like the HOT/cheerleaders going into the south parking lot. Aso, after half, the drum-line playing next to the Ship is cool.
  12. Glad to see the Times stepping-up. Its pretty crappy, though, the Sarasota-Herald puts FSU and South Carolina Spring Football stories on Page 1 and USF is on Page 6.
  13. Hey S. Bien; Thanks for the individual break downs, that was perfect. Something came-up at last minute with wife and daughter so could not make it to the game.
  14. That's an interesting stat to see Ramon McCullough with five tackles. With the news coming out of SP, it didn't seem like he was in the two-deep rotation at one of the DTs. Sounds like the D-Line will be fine with good depth.
  15. So what individuals stood out? Sounds like Verpaele played well with two picks.
  16. Family and friends will be driving up from Charlotte County. After reading the information coming from Spring Practice, getting geeked for the game. I don't think I could have held-out till Fall to see how the guys have developed.
  17. I hope ET has a great year too. I thought he was a great get and have been watching for his development. I like his move to DT. Sounds like he is progessing.
  18. Hey bullballer; I apologize to you or anyone else offended with the comment. It was not my intention to call out anyone from a population segment but merely rhyming with the name of a future rival. It is my understanding this is common with Pitt and WVU (which is where I first heard this is from a Pitt Alum). Additionally, I do not consider it anymore offensive than others using “Gay Turds†on this Board when referring to the Gators. To me, this comment is along the lines of rivals altering names such as “Free Shoe U; Semi-Holes or Criminals: “Can’t spell Citrus without UTâ€Â. Finally, it is not a slam on WVU. We are currently making arrangements with family friends to coordinate schedules for the Homecoming game with them in October. I think you possibly missed the point or it was poorly communicated by me, but it was not intended to flame.
  19. Sorry for the confusion, he is moving from DE to DT.
  20. I agree with Bien's alternative positions for PJ. I thought the incoming QBs would earn PT, then using PJ's tremendous physical skills elsewhere , such as RB/FB/TE. I don't think there is much question about his overall physical skills as a football player. Per the Trib today, Eric Thomas has moved to DL. I like that move as he needs to be on the field contributing. Hope he as been working out in the gym bulking-up.
  21. That is a great pic!! I don't think I can look at Nitro now without the Monty Python take. That's classic!! We should continue this theme at the football game this fall.
  22. UK just beat "Natti. I will take a disciplined approach to basketball (Coach Mac's) to the way 'Natti played down the strectch with their undisciplined approach and forcing shots. WTF was Muhammed doing??? They were 1 of 8 in crunch time. UK is very disciplined, which is a direct reflection of Tubby Smith.
