1. Hey Eats It: Looks like we're near you, Section 34 row 21, seat 23-24. I owe you a beer for your efforts with BBQ!
2. This makes my day!! I was really hoping we could land him.
3. Matt - Been busy with work and haven't checked the site for a few days ... Wow, can't bullieve how organized you are! We were not on your previous rsvp list, but please add 2 adults for jebbull (B. McGehee). Just sent $ for 2 on pay pal. We are on the 2nd flight (2 pm) air package and will catch a cab from the team hotel to Dreamland. GO BULLS!!
4. Saw that Ricky-Jean Francois of LSU made 2nd Team. With Selvie's emergence, eases the dissapointment of almost signing him. Speaks well for staff identifying talented players.
5. I watched UL and was not impressed; they seemed very undisciplined and shot the ball to early IMO. This would be a nice win against a "name" team. Looking forward to having a full squad to see how we stack-up against other teams.

7. North Fort Myers’ Quenton Washington was named the North’s MVP after playing both sides of the ball and finishing with 93 receiving yards and a touchdown. Nicknames abound Another staple of the Carrigan Classic is the creative nicknames that replace last names on many players' jerseys. A few of the more creative examples included  Supa Q (North MVP Quenton Washington of North Fort Myers), Mr. 2000 (South's Caleb Nemitz of Estero), Show Me My Opponent (North's William Ramos of Mariner) and Power Up (South's T.J. Bright of Fort Myers).
8. Who cares - we have Scoreboard; 3-0!!! The picture of PJ blasting their LB speaks louder than their smack.
9. Saturday December 23 • 10 am - Pep rally outside Legion Field • 12 pm Kick-off of the inaugural PapaJohns.com Bowl
10. As a follow-up, I corresponded with Vicki at the Athletic Department this afternoon and everything is fine. Yes, I was a little anxious this AM but my wife and I are booked and looking forward to going.
11. All is Good!!. Scheduled the Air-It-Out Package and looking forward to the trip and game. Yes, I know they are/were swamped first thing this AM.
12. Why do I get a message or busy signal? Why not have an option to "stay on the line and the operator will be with you soon". I want the Ai It Out Package.
13. Hey Vicki, if you do the charter flight, where do you park your car at the airport? (Isn't charter location away from the main terminal?)
14. This may have already been discussed, but does anyone have a take on the lack of response by CJL by not challenging the play where Ian Randolph scored on his TD run? The official completely missed the call and was in good position to make the correct call. The TV broadcast showed several replays and he was clearly in bounds and scored. I don't recall USF challenging that call , but lined up for the next play from scrimmage. Fortuantely, the Review Official did their job. Also, this occurred in the 4th quarter on the horrendous spot the officials gave us when the receiver (don't recall who it was) was thrown back behind the yard marker and thus short on the third down play. He actually caught the ball for the first down. Again, the Review Official changed the call on the field and we were awarded the 1st down. I would have thought that CJL would have been more vocal, which I have seen him do on a bad officiating call, but was somewhat restrained. My only thought was that he was confident we would have eventually scored the TD or pick-up that crucial 1st down. Any thoughts?
15. Up and coming South Florida's Jim Leavitt could have been coaching at Alabama or Kansas State, but he turned down those offers to stay with the program he helped build from scratch. Leavitt's been the only coach the 11-year-old football program has had and it looks like his patience is paying off -- along with the move from Conference USA to the Big East. After leading the Bulls (8-4) to a bowl game for the first time last season, Leavitt's crew is again bowl-bound and coming off a 24-19 win at West Virginia, the biggest victory in school history. The state of Florida has enough talented players for a fourth program to emerge as a consistent winner. With Leavitt now able to sell recruits a chance to play in the BCS, [b]the Bulls should be a perennial contender in the Big East.

17. Agreed. I think most would accept the "growing pains" this year with MG as oppossed to continuing with PJ at QB and then having to experience this next year with a new QB. Furthermore, I would expect future teams to blitz like Cincy until MG burns them a few times. We are playing with a lot of FR and Sophs so I see a lot postives.
18. It's not too bad; we have two in the top 7 and Rutgers goes to #16. Three teams out of eight are ranked in the top 16.
19. North Fort Myers High School running back Noel Devine’s suspension will keep him from playing Friday against Charlotte. North Fort Myers principal Kim Lunger would not give the exact length of Devine’s suspension. She did tell The News-Press on Tuesday morning that it would carry through Friday and keep Devine off the field. The 7:30 p.m. game will also be homecoming for North Fort Myers. This will be the second consecutive game that Devine will miss due to the suspension, which resulted from a “confrontation†that occurred during school Sept. 30. Lunger would not go into detail on the “confrontation†and wouldn’t say if it was a physical one. However, she said she has suspended two other students connected with the incident. Lunger said neither student is a member of the football team. She said all three suspensions are the same length. Last Friday, Lunger told The News-Press that the suspension would not affect Devine’s playing status for the Charlotte game. However, Tuesday she said that because Lee County public schools were closed Monday and Tuesday, the first full day of Devine’s suspension wouldn’t start until Wednesday. With Devine in the lineup, North is 4-0. Last week, Cape Coral handed the Devine-less Red Knights their first loss of the season. The defeat also dropped North to 1-1 in District 5A-12. Devine did not return telephone calls placed by The News-Press. “(The team) has mixed emotions,†coach James Iandoli said of the Red Knights’ reactions to the loss of Devine. “But we’re not trying to focus on that. We have to focus on what we can control.†When asked to give his reaction to Devine’s suspension, Iandoli replied: “Did they cancel the game? Then you can count on us being there.†When asked if missing all of this week’s and possibly some of next week’s practices would affect Devine when he is allowed to play again, Iandoli said he doubted that it would, due to Devine’s knowledge of the system. “His advantage is he’s been with me for three and a half years now,†Iandoli said. Devine’s quest to become Lee County’s all-time leading rusher and scorer will remain on hold. He is 322 yards and 11 touchdowns shy of former Mariner standout Earnest Graham’s county records. North Fort Myers has four games remaining after this week: against Lakewood Ranch on Oct. 13, at Mariner on Oct. 20, versus Fort Myers on Oct. 27, and at Bishop Verot on Nov. 3.
20. TAMPA  College football coaches will do anything they can to get a talented high school senior to commit to their university. They speak kindly and gently to the moms, gulping down bite after bite of intolerable dinners, act like manly men to the dads, promise to be the away-from-home father, once the player gets onto campus. And then, those same kids are part of an ulcer that grows just a little more every time a coach hears the word "freshman." That's an ulcer that's burning through the stomach of South Florida coach Jim Leavitt, who is trying to turn around a team that has lost two straight games in the final seconds after a shaky 3-0 start. He's trying to do it with four freshmen running backs, a freshman quarterback, and first-year sophomore kicker Mike Benzer who is 1-for-7 in field-goal attempts. Leavitt knew his defense would lead the Bulls this season, and he just hoped his offense could sustain the team, but it has struggled. Redshirt freshman quarterback Matt Grothe has been the running and passing star for the Bulls this season, but he also turned the ball over three times in last week's 22-20 home loss to Rutgers. Grothe was given the keys to the offense in the second half of the opening game win over Division I-AA McNeese State, taking over for senior Pat Julmiste. Grothe has run for seven touchdowns and 1,084 yards, but he has also tossed seven interceptions, even though the receiving corps has been lacking. Besides Grothe, who has rushed for 412 yards, only redshirt freshman Benjamin Williams has rushed for a total over 100 yards combined this year. Meanwhile, Leavitt appears to have lost all confidence in Benzer, taking fourth down risks in the losses to Kansas and Rutgers that would have normally called for field-goal attempts. As for Grothe, Leavitt has the comfort of having Julmiste on the sideline. "Grothe has a lot going for him,'' Leavitt said. "He has a lot of maturity, but we still have a senior in Julmiste who is pretty good.''
21. Student section was great! **** I wish I were 20 years younger and could hang with them!!! HOT is also doing a great job!
22. That's a great pic and shows the character of PJ. I saw PJ do this more than once to MG.
23. The visual presentation of the helmets on TV was a drab and looked like "Brown Mustard". I've never held an opinion on the helmut color issue but to me, the helmets need some redefining again because they just aren't working.
