  1. Blasigh hit the freshman wall, but she’s going to be a nice player for us moving forward.
  2. A perfect afternoon in the YC! Special atmosphere that I wish we could bottle . . . IMG_4542.mov IMG_4545.mov
  3. Loved the 1991-92 season. We beat three ranked teams (two in league play and Iowa), and Florida and FSU, and got the at-large. But 2011-12 was the best ever.
  4. ELECTRIC afternoon in the YC . . . until our knucklehead students started chanting “overrated” with 10 minutes still left to play. Low basketball IQ there.
  5. WOW! That was horrible. Completely outplayed. My last look at a women’s game this season. Time to reboot. See you next year.
  6. Of course, Puisis. Schipholt is a grad transfer. She’s done.
  7. Down at the half to an 8-win team. Fifteen wins, but this is the least talented and fundamentally sound USF team I’ve seen in many years. We’re turning into FAU’s you-know-what. I’d keep Levy and Blasigh and say goodbye to everyone else and start again.
  8. Yes, rough start for Jackson Mayo. He looked so good early on when he first broke into the lineup, but hasn’t built on it yet.
  9. Yep, only managed four hits - and only gave up four hits. Since pitching was the huge question mark coming into the year, that’s something promising you can take out of the loss. The bats will come around.
  10. Good pitching in the opener but no offense - only a Boser HR - in a 2-1 loss to UConn
  11. Amen, brutha! It’s been a memorable season already and can only get more memorable. Nothing from here takes luster off this team. They’ve done an unbelievable job and have been so much fun to watch. Our last NCAA Tourney team was great, but not nearly as enjoyable to watch as this bunch.
  12. Who said that? Nobody. But beat FAU and you seriously can talk about winning the league and going to the dance. Everything we’ve done so far has given us this opportunity. That doesn’t lessen the importance of what they’ve already accomplished.
  13. It’s going to be all about how we handle the big guy Goldin on Sunday. If he’s doing what he wants in the post and controlling the glass, we’ll be in trouble.
  14. if this team could play two complete halves, they’d be something. Turnovers galore.
  15. Don’t know how I missed that - the halftime interview enlightened me - but Indiana State is ranked and Ryan Conwell is averaging 16 a game for them?
  16. Lots of rain expected this weekend, so probably not a lot of baseball.
  17. Cool. Not saying you’re wrong. Seth used to do the same thing with Altron and bring him off the bench for instant offense, but he did eventually wind up starting him.
  18. I get it. Just wondering out loud if his instant offense could maybe help us avoid the consistently slow starts? And as hard as he takes it to the rim, maybe we get some early foul trouble on opposing bigs?
  19. Right, Janette has attempted 7 threes in her two-year USF career and made 1. I still don’t understand why we’re talking about her? Jose obviously doesn’t see her as a significant player with as little as she has played in 59 games as a Bull. There is ZERO evidence that she is the answer to anything or needs to be “let loose.”
  20. I get where you are, but how many times are you going to be able to escape after going into the second half down double digits? Inserting Miguel into the starting lineup doesn’t feel to me like a big change, and he comes in looking for offense. Might be better if he came in to get buckets when we weren’t already down 10. But I understand the “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it” mindset.
