  1. Lets give them a conference going away present. Modified by Bulliever to correct time to Eastern time.
  2. I think Bradley would have made a big difference. He was our most consistent player. He had no Leather games, where he fouled out with no points. I think 5 more wins is totally realistic. Also, what players missed entire seasons when Seth was here? Scott Johnson, maybe the softest big man ever. Altron and BB only missed games for doing drugs and the like. Sure Reggie had the bad leg, but he couldn't play D or penetrate with 2 good legs. I remember Artha Reeves being hurt, but I don't think he missed that many games. I don't think Seth was ever in the position to use injuries as an excuse for his inability to coach.
  3. 25 years is pushing it. Yes, they are 17 years removed from their last National Championship, but no matter what people say and how good they are, they are still the most popular College Football Team in the country and will fill a stadium where ever they go. They don't want a confernece to split their money with, and I don't blame them for that.
  4. Why not take him? He only has one year left, and may not even be on scholarship. He obviously is a decent player, if he has an impact - great, if not - no harm done.
  5. Waterboy, towelboy, jock strap washer. Anything but QB
  6. His throws are just so far off target that even the defenders can't catch many of them. So, I guess we have to give him credit for that. PAT JULMISTE SUCKS!!!!!!!! (hopefully he will win the heisman now, so I can eat my words)
  7. I won't have a problem with them losing some games next year, but if PJ is at the helm we will be getting embarassed on a weekly basis. Sure, the defense will improve, but it won't be good enough to where we can rely on them to win games. It is the QB's job to win the games. It really sucks, but one player will make the difference between 2-9 (0-7) and 8-3 (5-2).
  8. If Pat Julmiste is the starting QB next year, we will lose most, if not all of our games. The comment about Denson not being able to execute an offense doesn't matter because even if he can execute 25% of the offense, that is 25% more than Julmiste can do. PJ shouldn't even be on the depth chart next year. He should be washing towels and getting water for real players. He wouldn't start at most 1-AA schools.
  9. I think it is Jamelle Eugene. All you have to do is look at the Football Database and use some common sense.
  10. Grothe is the best QB prospect in the state, so we can't do any better. If Hill goes elsewhere than I would take him. Competition is a good thing.
  11. I am very dissapointed by the Jones situation, he would have been a star for us. I can't say that I am suprised, though. Booker High School more closely resembles a prison than a learning facility. Aah, you have to love the free education people get in the state of Florida. I guess you get what you pay for.
  12. Your non-marquee schools have all been to the final four before. Hopefully they will be nice to us next year and give us St. John's, G-town, and West Virginia.
  13. They can have him. Probably the most over-rated coach in college football.
  14. Not having Bradley Mosley really showed in this game. That 3rd scoring option is non-existent. Marlyn Bryant is better suited for playing football, he has no basketball ability whatsoever.
  15. I know he is a freshman, but he couldn't tackle a five year old. He doesn't even fill out his pads and jersey. He needs to talk to Greg Anderson and get "the clear" and "the cream," as do just about all of our defensive players. They need to unleash some serious roid rage next year. Seriously, he got baptized by fire and hopefully it will help him down the road.
  16. I have heard very good things about how Denson did during practice. I was told that he ran circles around our defense and is a real playmaker, running and passing. Granted it was our defense, but still good to hear.
  17. We have a womens basketball team? Try getting people to go to the mens games first.
  18. Hey Sheriff, I think you would rather see VT win and USF lose, just so you could run some pro Greenberg smack. We all know you worship that bald SOB, but he didn't win anything while he was here, so all of the comparisons are pretty pointless.
  19. I'm sure Julmiste was playing against a well prepared defense in an all-star game. If they gave him a scholarship just based on that it really makes you think.
  20. Denson was a prep all-american QB in high school. He has the credentials for us to be at least optimistic.
  21. That will never happen, he has so many flaws and is such an easy target for bashing.
  22. Julmiste didn't even throw the ball in high school, he ran the wishbone. Grothe is 100x better a passer then Julmiste. Grothe is a polished passer already, the coaches had to teach Julmiste how to throw a football. He has a good arm, he just isn't a QB.
  23. I don't want to hear anyone blaming the OC or QB coach. They cannot call any passing play and be confident that the ball will get to a receiver, even if they are wide open. It is not good when you are shocked that he actually completed a pass. They have one arm tied behind their back. We have great skill position players and a QB that can't use them. Julmiste ran the wishbone or something similar in high school, he is not able to run our offense. We need a complete QB, Denson or Grothe will be a considerable upgrade. They were/are 200ypg passers and 100ypg rushers in high school. Julmiste gets lucky when he completes a pass. The receivers are so shocked when he actually gets the ball there that they drop it sometimes, although, most of his passes aren't even close. He didn't throw one deep ball that was within 10 yards of the receiver today. We have to put up with it for two more games.
  24. So.....They have to go to school and pass their classes just like everyone else. Taking 12 credits over the summer is not that hard to do. If they can't handle it then they shouldn't be in college anyway. Then they will be Freshman next year, three good recruits who have already practiced some, could actually be good in the long run.
