  1. I hope VT looses every ACC game by 20+ points. Seth won't last 3 years in the ACC.
  2. What is the story with Terrance Jones? If he plays next year, he and Hall would be one of the best duos in the country. Jones was the best high school RB I have ever seen.
  3. Anyone is better than Al Keck. I would rather have the opponents announcers instead of Keck. They were much more professional and actually knew something about football.
  4. We could finish anywhere between 8 and 14. All of these teams aren't that talented and coaching will be the difference. If Mac has skills, we could be suprising, if not, oh well. Making the Conference Tourney is a good goal to have right now.
  5. Seton Hall obviously recruits on a national level, but being that the school is in Northern NJ, they have 7 players from the NY/NJ area on their team.  I don't think he is worried about USF.  Obviously our new Assistant is a very good addition to the staff.
  6. Possible new recruit www.setonhall.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=330&tid=42156379&sid=&style=2
  7. I never ruled out anything before 1919, Red Sox fans have. I know and have talked with many, many Sox fans and they are the ones that only acknowledge post 1918. They may have changed their tunes over the last week, but before that they acted like it didn't matter that they won 5 title pre 1918. Babe Ruth was on the Sox then so I guess they hated him before they traded as well. So, whenever the Yankees don't win the Series they choked? Right? Whatever...? Tell that to Bill Masarowski, or Sandy Koufax, or Bob Gibson, or the Big Red Machine. They have lost more WS than the Sox have even played in. That in itself is amazing. If they choked than you are obviously admitting that the Yankees were the better team, underdogs never choke, they just come up short. The difference is Yankees fans know how to handle winning and losing the big game, Sox fans don't.
  8. I am not in denial of anything. It is 26-1 since the curse was brought into play. Smazza is right, the sawx will have to win many more championships before everyone in the country thinks of them as perennial winners. Try winning a division once in a while. In the last 86 years they still haven't won as many WS as the Marlins, Twins, Reds, A's, Cardinals, Giants, Blue Jays, Orioles, Indians, Tigers, Mets, Braves, Pirates, Dodgers and the Yankees. Every dog has its day, this year it just happened to be a dirty, hairy, less than intelligent dog. But, Sox fans should enjoy it, it was a great run. History is history and you can't deny that.
  9. The Red Sox have choked a million more times than any other sports team of any kind. 26-1 isn't as good as 26-0, but it still counts as domination in anyones book. They just scored one late and avoided the shutout. The Babe got tired, throwing zeros up there for 86 years would tire anyone out. I think he's got another streak to throw at the idiots starting real soon. Comparing the Bulls to the idiots is rediculous.
  10. He better learn to, because going from First to Fourth on the QB depth chart might hurt some peoples pride.
  11. Calm Down!!! PAT JUMISTE SSSSUUUUCCCCKKKKSSSS!!!! That is the only glaring problem I see. But he is all we have this season. The offense works great with the right QB. Imagine Blackwell with a RB as good as Hall, that will happen again. Denson, Grothe, Hill, those guys will be fine next year. The DB's are young and can't tackle yet, they will learn.
  12. TCU's defense is downright horrible, so if we can't put some points up against them then we may not win another game this year. Maybe a squeaker against Army. Running and play action are the way to go, but if our QB's can't even hit open receivers then we are pretty much done until next year.
  13. Banks and Julmiste both SUCK!!! We just have to get through this year and then the real QB's will be here. They should play Gatchette, to see what he can do.
  14. NBC already has Notre Dame, and lots of people watch no matter if they are good or bad. I think it would be good for them to have a BE game on ND road weeks or doubleheaders when ND plays at home.
  15. Bill is a sad NFL kicker. Matt Bryant, when healthy is a very accurate kicker. As a Giant fan, I would not want Bill as their kicker.
  16. Craig Smith is a 1st team all BE player and he is a 6'6" PF. If this guy is half the player Smith is I will be happy. You cannot underestimate the presence of muscle down low in the college game. Most of the big men are very slight of build. Smith always is up against guys 2-5 inches taller than him and excels. He was not highly recruited and is a great, great player. Give Mobley a chance, lets see what he has before we jump to conclusions.
  17. Terrence Jones is a special talent and Andre Hall isn't that much bigger than him. TJ could handle 20+ carries a game next year. The more carries he gets early the more it will pay off when Hall is long gone.
  18. .500 in the Big East could get us to the dance so that is not such a bad goal for this time. The BE is going to get 7-8 bids every year, maybe even 9 in years the league is very strong.
  19. Terrence Jones He should start, get tons of carries right away, and in two years we will have our first All-American.
  20. It's not like Billy Henderson was going to play much. Not a big deal. The 5th string RB is out for the season, I don't think I'm going to lose any sleep over that. Hall, Jones, Ponton, Crossley are more than enough to get by with.
  21. Dmince, That has to be the most ludicrous post of the year. I don't really care what lubrication you & Seth use when you get together(I assume the Sheriff brings it). HE IS NOT OUR COACH AND I/WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT HIM!! Also, I feel very sorry for you or anyone you know who considers SG to be your MENTOR. This is the same guy who curses out and just about goes into the stands after Some of his own schools fans. (Memphis game 2 years ago.) The guy is a lunatic on the sidelines whenever he is in a pressure situation. I loved Coach Mac's comments the other day about how he is having to undo what had gone on the past few years. i.e. NO DISCIPLINE. On and off the court.
  22. Rutgers is 3-31 in its last 34 road conference games. Not a big shock. Also, Sheriff, We all know you suck Seth's ass in your free time. Most of us don't like the guy. He killed our program and i'm sure USF won't be his only hatchet job. So, keep your Seth loving to yourself!
  23. Seth Greenberg is a horrible coach and a selfish bastard.  He only looks out for himself and the betterment of his career, which sucks.  What kind of person/coach goes looking for another job, after one bad season at his new job, shows how much he cares for his players.
  24. Yeah, I love how the commentator of todays game said that he didn't like the way that Seth coaches and that his teams are always soft. I think it was Ed Pinkney, not sure though.
