The reality is that Pat needs all the snaps he can get. If we had a stud QB who could come out when the game is in hand, that would be great, but we don't. I don't think it matters because Carlton Hill is not going to be our starting QB, barring injury. He is an athlete first, a QB second. We need someone who is a QB first and an athlete second. Grothe or Gregory are the best bet. Why do you think Grothe is redshirting? Come the spring both of those guys will know the offense and will have had enough practice time to compete. My biggest problem is that the coaches keep bringing in athletes to play QB, not QBs to play QB. Alwan Lee, Denson, Gatchette even Julmiste are all bad recruiting moves unless they had other positions lined up for them, but told them they could play QB just so they would sign.
