  1. So, what's new. I think CRM longs for the days of iron man basketball.
  2. If your talking about bowl bids from the Big East and we have four and should get four because ND is probably going to make a BCS game, so... Syracuse is done, Cincinnati and UCONN will have a real tough time getting to 6 wins, Pitt has to beat Louisville and WV on the road to get to six wins. WV and UL are bowl locks, RU is very probable, and I would say we have to be the favorite right now for the last bid simply because we have so many games left. Yes, it is going to take a road win or two, but if we can't beat SYR, UCONN, and Cincy we have no business bowling anyway. Beat Rutgers and watch the outlook on the message boards go from no chance at a bowl to us winning the conference.
  3. Grothe should be named the starter for the rest of the season and use the last 5-6 games to get ready for the future. He couldn't do worse than either Julmiste or Denson, and apparently Hill isn't part of the equation or he would be playing already. If we stay with Pat than this year will be a waste, and we will be in the same boat next year.
  4. I think that is the name of his AAU team.
  5. Franklin Jones Another GC Baller to the Big East -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jones is the fifth GC Baller to the Big East. "Franklin committed to South Florida last night," said Jones' AAU coach Jeffrey Bishop of the GC Ballerz. "He was also looking at UTEP, Providence, Xavier and Syracuse. UTEP and Xavier were the other two schools that had offered." www.usf.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=30143
  6. From now on we should schedule all of our home games on weeks that the bucs play on the road. We are talking 5-6 games. It shouldn't be that much of a problem. The only week this year that the bucs play at home is the UCF game, and it is only a problem because we have 3 home games in a row.
  7. If you are on campus, just go to the Sundome and buy a student companion ticket. They are usually a little cheaper than regular tickets.
  8. Would it be OK if I said that Travis Lipp SUCKS in the Classroom! He obviously DOES! Yeah, and I think if someone wants to say he SUCKS on the Field, then so be it. You need to quit defending every player like they are working to find the cure to cancer. They are going to school for free and playing football. No one is free from being critisized, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Live with it!
  9. The person who started this thread obviously has never seen Sexton play. I would rather have Pat Julmiste playing because at least he can run. Wyatt Sexton brings nothing to the table, he sucks! There is no way in hell that he should be the starter at FSU with the talent they have.
  10. Our beat writer is a frickin Gator! Is it just me, or is that a little messed up. I'm schocked he would ever have anything positive to say about USF.
  11. The Oracle - I wouldn't believe anything they say about USF Athletics in that rag.
  12. I don't think RJ will be one of those anomalies, all of the top bonuses for rounds 7-10 on that list are pitchers. His college education will probably be worth more than his bonus. Hopefully he makes the right decision.
  13. I would say my Diploma is far and away my most prized USF item up until this point.
  14. I say we beat FAMU, UCF, Rutgers, Syracuse, Cinn and UCONN + a Bowl win for a total of 7-5. I really think we can beat Penn State, but I give them the edge being at home.
  15. I don't know if we will win of not, but anyone who thinks Penn State is a good team and is going to kill us hasn't watched them play over the last 5 of so years.
  16. Are we going to have the James Holmes from this years CUSA Tourny or the James Holmes from just about every other game? If he plays like the former he will be a very valuable 6th man type player. If he can be a consistent offensive threat off the bench then he will play ahead of Prek, because Prek is a serious defensive liability.
  17. USF has made alot more sense for tons of highly ranked athletes in the past, but that has not gotten us anywhere, or any committments for that matter.
  18. I have absolutely no problem with this signing.  This guy will be better than Diarra, and that is the whole story.  I highly doubt that Konimba could average 8pts and 7rebs at the JUCO level, he has no skills whatsoever.  Richardson played on a very good JUCO team and put up respectable numbers, with obviously not very many shots coming his way. Anyway, man, we are going to have 8-9 new players next year.  Talk about a new team.  It is going to be very interesting to see how long it takes so many new guys to get on the same page during games.  I really hope we have some easy games right off the bat so these guys can get their feet wet together.
  19. No possible way. You have to sit out 2 years if you transfer within the same conference.
  20. Bain has hands of stone, no loss. We have plenty of WRs
  21. Buckley, Jones, Dennis, Prekevicius and Holmes will obviously get plenty of minutes and be counted on to lead the team.  Capko, as a walk-on, is fine.  Hopefully he will not need to see the court.  Diarra is a waste of space and a scholarship.  Hopefully, he too, will not need to see the court.  To go along with Howard, Cann, and Mattis, we need Ferguson, Walker, Boggan, and one more PG(either a good JUCO to start or someone to back-up Howard, Bradley Mosley would work here also, Hopefully).  We need 2-3 big men and another PG, regardless of who.  Making it to the Garden is a good goal to start with, and hopefully we can take it a little further.
  22. trumped everything Seth did his whole time here, in one night. Props to Coaches and the Players.
