  1. The ticos really stunk it up against Ecuador, didn't they? Since Colombia isn't in this cup, I'm pulling for the U.S. or Ecuador. Sorry about being off-topic. ;D
  2. You know you're a die-hard when yours is the only office decorated with the beautiful USF green and gold, while all your crotchety bosses sport the putrid orange and blue. I'm still trying to convert the heathens, by the way. I may still convince my Gator boss, who won our Bullspen college basketball bracket, to hop on the USF season ticket bandwagon. He still hasn't lived that one down. :
  3. Louisville, underfunded? They have a ton more money than we have. They also Papa Johns in their backyard willing to throw money at them all kinds of endeavors. When do you think Outback or Checkers is going to want to plop down some money for naming rights? Our program is the one that is seriously underfunded.
  4. Wow. Now, tell us how you really feel about UCF. ;D I'm not sure if I'm going out on a limb here, but I would venture to guess that Big Tipp's serious distaste for all things UCF would repel him away from posting anything on a UCF-related message board. However, I can't know for sure, since I've never really been on one. Can we say the same for MavTech and the rest of the UCF fans posting on our board? No. Thanks for the extra traffic to our boards UCF. You may continue your regularly scheduled infatuation with USF.
  5. That's actually pretty funny. Turkeysoup, no relation to Turkeyshizzler?
  6. Mutt, you are a whiz with photoshop or whatever program you use to setup all the cool visuals.
  7. This topic has been moved to [link=http://www.thebullspen.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=04012005;action=display;num=1149223676;start=0]South Florida - UCF Unmoderated[/link] by DawgPound.
  8. I was thinking the same thing about Prado's win-loss% at Louisville. I wonder why it isn't better than that. Would any Cards fans lurking on this board care to elaborate? The FSU assistant, Shouppe, is an intriguing prospect because of his apparent recruiting prowess. It'll be interesting to see how this all pans out. I'm leaning towards the assistant from FSU.
  9. With so many Republicans on this board, I'm really shocked at how some of you are surprised by this. I mean, as someone mentioned before, if the market dictates this kind of salary for GOL, then he should get it. If GOL is asking more than his market price, then he'll leave and wind up going to another school that will be willing to pony up the cash. Either UCF pays him or he'll get his money elsewhere. Not too schocking to me, considering the state of sports today.
  10. I would have to agree with flsportsfan83. I'm there with you too, I believe that this is the Phins year if everything pans out.
  11. Sad, but true. In the eyes of the average Tampa sports fan, USF basketball probably doesn't even exist. Hopefully, a winning season next year will cure all. We need to get some buzz back into our B-ball program.
  12. I'd love to play some more Big 10 schools. Penn State was a good step forward, but I'd like to see us play against Michigan State, Indiana, Illinois, and maybe Iowa.
  13. Those stats certainly don't lie. I think USF travelled well to that game, and the Miami-area USF alumns came out to support their school. Also, I agree that the attendence would have been higher had there not been any rain in the initial stages of the game. I think it's great that Woolard was able to negotiate another 1-1 with UM. Their fans did talk a lot of smack, but that's all part of football. If we can pull some upsets against UM, then I think we can talk all the smack we want to them. Whenever a Miami fan talked smack about USF, I always retorted with "Have you even attended UM?" I'd laugh in their face whenever they'd respond with a "No, I attend FIU or MDCC." Bottomline, I don't mind going back to the Orange Bowl for another game against the U.
  14. Why even taint this thread by bringing up that school to the East? Makes me think that all the criticizing we do of their fans for having a "fixation for USF," is like the pot calling the kettle black, when I see posts like this. Let's just hope Miami doesn't back out of the series if we hand them a loss.
  15. I'll say it's about **** time. Great recruiting has been squandered by piss poor team management.
  16. A loss to freak'n Stetson? Before anyone jumps on me about Stetson being a better baseball team than we expect, this loss solidifies my belief that Eddie C. is probably on the outs.
  17. Already posted something to Stephen on his blog. I think we are a serious longshot for this young man. He would be the MAN at USF.
  18. Doug E. Fresh, doing some big things. Check out the article. http://www.thesouthern.com/articles/2006/04/20/sports/16068206.txt Woolard, six other locals get nod into IBCA Hall of Fame By Todd Hefferman, The Southern Doug Woolard was going to be a dentist after his father, but instead led a life of basketball. Earlier this month he got a call from a friend that said it was all worthwhile. Woolard, a former Carbondale coach who led Steve and Craig Bardo, among others, will join six other locals at the induction dinner later this summer for the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Woolard will go in as a friend of basketball, and will make the trip to Bloomington from the University of South Florida, where he is the athletic director. "The time that we spent at Carbondale, our family was certainly the fondest memories that we'll ever have, and I wouldn't trade those moments for anything," Woolard said. "I certainly have a lot of respect for the IBCA, and I'm very honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame." Five players and one lifetime coach will join Woolard as inductees. Robert Corn, the current coach of Missouri Southern's men's basketball team, starred at Benton and Memphis State. Gary Rafe played for Herrin the 1970s and St. Louis University. Guy Lee Turner, a former Harrisburg standout, played at Alabama. Randy House, the former Johnston City boys coach who also starred at Southern Illinois University, will join Mount Vernon legend Kent Williams. J. Mitch Haskins, the athletic director at Meridian High School, will go in as a lifetime coach. He led the Bobcats and coached at Rend Lake College. Cairo stays for now: Cairo survived the blade from the Black Diamond Conference at the annual principals meeting in March and will continue to be a member. The Pilots and Co-Pilots had come under scrutiny after the school cut football in February, forcing the other nine league teams to scramble for replacements. Carterville High School Principal Donald Smith, the league president this year, said there was never a vote to axe Cairo, but that there could be in the future. There are no scheduled meetings for the principals until the fall, but one could be set up. "I haven't heard from any of the other schools at this point in time that we need to discuss this," Smith said. "I think the unique situation is that they're the only school in our conference that doesn't have football or actively participate." Smith said the league wrote a letter to the Illinois High School Association asking for those schools who are not able to find a replacement game for Cairo's slot on this fall's football schedule to receive a forfeit. In a similar situation years ago, the IHSA did allow those schools a forfeit victory. ETC: Carbondale boys basketball coach Jim Miller will serve as head coach at this year's Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Class AA all-star game June 24 in Bloomington. Miller led the Terriers to a second-place finish in 2005. Harrisburg boys leader Randy Smithpeters will lead the Class A South on that same night. ... The Greater Egyptian Conference will use all wooden bats for its league tournament this week. The championship game is Thursday at 4 p.m. at Pope County High School. ... Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton's softball team lost its top pitcher and hitter, Amanda Beaver, to a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament last week. She will miss the rest of the season. todd.hefferman@thesouthern.com (618) 351-5087
  19. That looks pretty accurate to me. I'm surprised to see someone at ESPN actually researched our team and maybe saw the Spring Game.
  20. Now if only we could get Checkers/Rallys, another Tampa-based Restaurant chain, to cough up some of the big bucks, we'd be cleaning house. I'm curious to see how much corporate sponsorship we have from corporations based in the bay area. Anyone know if Tech Data donates to athletics? Anyone know where to find this information?
  21. Although a lot of posters on here claim that there is no rivalry between us and UCF, there sure are a lot of hateful comments on here regarding that school in the East. I swear we have the most bi-polar message board out there. Regarding the UCF v. UF game, I'd have to agree with Jewbull in pulling for UF so that we can knock off UCF when we play them. I hate pulling for the lizards up north or the golden showers to the east.
  22. If I ever meet you in person, Greg, beers are on me. You do an amazing job covering my beloved Bulls.
  23. I'm just happy they're doing new things to market the Bulls. Any type of slogan that gets our name out there is good in my eyes.
  24. I also used PMBR and Bar/Bri, but unlike Zonald I did the 6 day PMBR workshop, as well. I think it helped a lot because it got my brain back into doing Multi-state type questions earlier in my study schedule. By the way, PMBR's multistate questions are great if you can get through the massive workbooks.
  25. Me too! If you elect doing the ceremony, then I'll see you at the swearing-in. I can't believe it, more BULL attorneys!
