  1. 1) I'd like to see our D-line dominate and pressure their QB all-day. They looked like they were being man-handled by McNeese the first few quarters. 2) It would be nice to see a RB really step-up from the ashes. I have a feeling Keeley Dorsey will probably be more dominant than Walt Smith. 3) More pancakes and less penalties from the O-line.
  2. If you go to either www.fiugoldenpanthers.com or www.fiusports.com you should be able to find a link to past games that we've played. I appreciate you fans alot better than the UCF fans. They are arrogant as hell! I have nothing but negative things to say about them **** Golden Knights!! You guys must despise them. But going back to the game, please don't overlook us. I think we will surprise a lot of your fans at our play at this stage of our growth. I think you all will agree that we are ahead of what your program was at the 5th year. Hopefully we can make it an annual thing along with some of the other Florida schools. ARod, how many do you expect to travel up here for the USF game? How well has FIU travelled before?
  3. Just got through watching those quarters myself ...... Don't look for Graber to get any better from the first quarter.  8-) I thought it was just me, but I watched the replay on Catch 47, and both Graber and the other guy were horrible. How long have they been doing the play by play and color commentary? We need to get some USF grads in there that have some passion. I vote on having one Beef Stud and one SBC member, since I think that would make for some great T.V.
  4. The calendars came out really nice. Chicky, are you guys still going to be selling them at the FIU game?
  5. Did anyone else catch the weekend guide for TBT? Our very own cheerleader extraordinaire, Chicky, was featured on the cover. It was part of an article that was rating the hometowns of the 5 major state universities and their student scenes. Unfortunately, Tampa wasn't given a very good grade as a college town, but, hey, we're working on it.
  6. Cut short because of impending lightning. There was a really good crowd there, I'd guesstimate about 800-1000 Bulls fans. Then again, I'm not very good at estimating crowd size.
  7. That advertisement on 97X was sweet! It got me so pumped for football season.
  8. More H.O.T and tailgate time, I think is the consensus from this thread. By the way, I think the student section has really stepped it up in the past few years. It's the old crothety alumns that need a fire under their butts to get excited. Just my opinion
  9. Two words, Wally Burnham. He's the one that does a phenomenal job recruiting these kids. Now if we could only land a QB that is actually a QB, instead of "athletes."
  10. I believe this is the reason. The black on the helmets is supposed to stand out better on T.V. It's all about marketing.
  11. I had a great time. I'm glad I made the drive over to Pinellas for this event. Besides, I got to meet the infamous UCF agitator ___ Eats it.
  12. Not to dither too much... but... 1. UCF is east, not west of USF. 2. USF alumni legislators also threatened legislation. 3. USF agreed to play C-USA teams instead of paying money to leave C-USA. 4. O'Leary and Tribble whined of their own volition - they obviously drank the kool aid. I would point out that: UCF fans are as obsessed with USF as USF fans are with the Big Three. USF fans treat UCF the same way the Big Three fans treat USF. Am I the only one that finds that ironic?? The economics of this series make more sense to continue it than all of the reasons to stop it ... combined. Hard to believe so many people can't see that. Holy crap, Jim, you make so much sense. I completely agree with all of your observations. Very ironic circumstances.
  13. I can't wait for the MSU series. I may actually have to fly back to East Lansing for USF's game at MSU's turf, and it'll give me a reason to visit the city where I did my law degree
  14. If I recall correctly, when Playboy released the "Girls of Conference USA" edition a few years back, it was between USF and Houston for the most girls pictured in the magazine. There are a ton of hotties at USF, so just since we were overlooked by SI doesn't really bother me.
  15. Maybe because the kid wants to play out of state? It's the same reason that UF, FSU, and UM aren't in the mix.
  16. That commercial is kick-ass. Hey, nothing wrong with serving up some Brazillian beer at our Bulls Tailgates. Bring on Football!
  17. Funny, yet true! Sometimes I think I'm better flippin' the bird, with some of the "deer in headlights" looks I've had thrown my way after giving another car the "Go Bulls" sign. However, more often than not, I get the horns back at me.
  18. Andre would be a perfect fit with the Dolphins. They are weak in depth at the RB position, and I think Andre would make a great, bruising 3rd down-type of back.
  19. No freakin' way! I won't believe this until I see an article stating such information. Anyone have a **** link?
  20. Super long-shot. I'd be shocked if we could keep this kid in Tampa. If you read some of the comments on his blog, there have been people posing as "USF fans" telling him he's better off going to South Carolina because we can't seem to develop a QB. The hardcore USF faithful need to bombard Garcia's TBO blog and make our presence felt.
  21. If guys from Bradley and Wyoming are being mentioned before Sol, then I don't think the Big East affiliation really has all that much to do with it. A good big-man is a rarity these days in the NBA. After a 34 year old Shaq, Duncan, and maybe even Yao, there's a huge drop-off in big-man talent. Scouts drool over athletic big-men, and that's what I think is helping Sol's stock rise.
  22. Hootie rocks! He picks fights with all the students. The Hamster Race is certainly a close second, especially when Rocky tries to run interference but winds up getting smacked down.
  23. Michigan State will be a huge spoiler in the Big 10. I got to watch them play when I was living in Lansing. Only thing I've never liked about them is their crack-head coach, John L. Smith. I can't wait to watch some USF football. I'm jonesing worse than Tyrone Biggums.
