  1. How can a Division I basketball team be so bad year after year after year? They have been to the NCAA tournament how many times? Sorry, b-ball had its chance. USF is now a football school. Get used to it...
  2. 1. What makes you a BULLS fan? (Take time to think about this.) My father's hard-earned money that allowed me to attend, and graduate from a great institution. 2. Are you going to the Football Banquet? No. 3. What's the final score of the USF / Seton Hall Game? 67 - 54. You determine who that means wins. 4. Are you an Alumni Member? Was, but didn't renew last year. Send $$$ for athletics. 5. If a chicken and 1/2, Laid an egg and 1/2, on a house and 1/2, how long would it take a one legged monkey to kick all of the seeds out of a dill pickle? Quarter past a monkey's ass.
  3. The average age of the Sarasota Newspaper staff is 72-years-old. And, they are considered young for the area. What do you expect?
  4. Despite what I figured most of you thought - I am not a negative person - just a realist. There is a huge difference. Give credit where credit is due - and say it like it is (or, maybe even just how I feel it is) when most others won't. Julmiste is probably one of the worst QB I've seen in my memory of watching any major Division I football program. Regardless of the fact that Leavitt (and others) need to prove to me some type offensive savy, I like the fact that someone else may have a chance to lead the team.
  5. Is the reason you SHOULDN'T bet on college basketball. On any given night - you just don't know what will happen. 17 point underdogs - lose by 3.
  6. Understanding what you are saying, but there are always freshmen/transfers that go to many schools and have immediate impact on the team.
  7. With pre-season rankings having West Virginia #3, and Louisville #15, USF better gear-up quickly if they want to have any luck in the Big East next year. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=502125
  8. 1. USF is currently ranked 88th on ESPN's recruiting list. 2. I agree to not to get too concerned until we see what happens on February 1st. 3. It would be nice to think Leavitt realizes there is a problem on offense. 4. Welcome to The Club - your membership card is in the mail.
  9. Wow. Great comeback. Did you think that one up all by yourself? You - 1. Me - 0.
  10. Boy, bet that merchandise is just flying off the shelves. However, it could be worth something some day for two reasons: 1. 1st USF bowl game. 2. USF only team to be shut-out this bowl season. BullsFans, How do I order one of your sweatshirts? LOL. ÂÂ
  11. The contents of this thread have been moved [link=http://www.thebullspen.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=news;action=display;num=1136479680]HERE[/link] by Bulliever.
  12. ...one mention. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/5222782
  13. The male or female cheerleaders? If all she wants to do is check-out the female cheerleaders, I want to hear that story...
  14. Even though you make total sense, it's almost as if you never typed these statements. Guess you didn't have on your Secret Green-Goggled USF Message Board glasses while typing it? There is a HUGE difference between settling - and being negative - this is simple a statement of someone (like me) who doesn't feel all happy happy joy joy or get the warm-fuzzy because the team just showed-up at a bowl game. This team needs serious work before next year. Leavitt needs to figure out what is WRONG with the offense, and fix it. Apparently, from one of his statements in one of the other threads he hasn't been thinking about it much. Well, he needs to start. ****, people. I'm seriously glad you can get a rise out of looking at stats. However, remember the high school chant, "Check out the scoreboard"! All that matters. Period.
  15. Fuel - meet fire. Shouldn't he be thinking about offense constantly even if it were good?
  16. Bowl game = zero points, zilch, nada, zippo, shut-out. Could it get any worse?
  17. You wouldn't be from anything I've read that you have posted. So, now you're a better fan because you traveled to the game? Sorry, but decided to stay with my Mom for the holidays because my Dad passed away this past year. Oh, and BTW, their anniversary was right after Christmas and didn't think leaving her would be a great idea. But, that's okay - you can take your foot out of your mouth now. Doom & gloom? How about simply not accepting a mediocre team? The BE was respresented by 2 teams that have nothing to be ashamed of - Louisville & UWV. USF couldn't even score. But, if you're fine with them just going to bowl games you should be happy as long as Leavitt is around. Sure they will "get" to more bowl games - I'd just like to see them do better than being invited.
  18. I was truly hoping I was wrong, and you could all say, "I told you so," after blasting me for my Leavitt thread awhile ago. I wasn't. This bowl game was a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT to the team, coaches, school, and fans. "Well, at least we made it to a bowl." Yeah, whatever.  They were shut out, and looked pathetic with the exception of a few plays here & there - and, possibly the running game.  Julmiste may be the worst Division I football QB I have ever seen. If he is/has been/and will be the best they have to offer you'd think QB prospects from around the country would be salivating to go to USF in hopes of getting their chance to start. Any one, and I pretty much mean that, would be better. The pass from the punter was the best pass all day. Furthermore, Leavitt calls Stoops to ask his advice on bowl game preparation. Stoops tells him to have 3, 2-a-days for practice. Remember, this is Stoops - National Championship coach - giving this advice. So, what does Leavitt do? Has 2,  2-a-day work-outs, and thinks to himself, "That's enough." Well, why the hell did he ask for advice if he wasn't going to take it? Was it all his bowl game preparation experience coming into play in the decision to just poo-poo the advice of a national powerhouse Division I football coach? Go figure. I serioulsy hope this bowl game appearance doesn't hurt recruiting, but I'm afraid it will. I haven't been wrong yet, and doubt I am about that either. Watch players that were thinking about signing with USF start choosing other schools. Car Care Crap Bowl. Nice game. Flower it over with it was a great first experience, blah, blah, blah, blah, whatever. And, let me have it that you no longer want me to root for the same team as you if it makes you feel like you're more of a fan than me. But deep down, you KNOW I'm right that this was simply pathetic, and losing 3 games to end the season is simply unacceptable. I'll give it one more season for all of you to catch-up to what is already apparent to me (and, smazza - but I won't talk for him) in that Leavitt IS NOT the guy.
  19. I live about 4 miles from The Ohio State University. Go to, and around campus all the time for work-related issues. Not once have I seen a Michigan T-shirt, sweatshirt, or hat. And, seriously doubt you see anything OSU in Ann Arbor. I'm not saying it hasn't/doesn't happen, but just haven't seen it myself. ???
  20. When you stop seeing it altogether - the corner will be turned. Seriously, seriously, doubt you'd see any OTHER schools represented at any of the OTHER schools (if that made sense to you?).
  21. I graduated before USF had a football team.  Back then, things were much different than I hope they are now. Daily, you'd see students wearing UF, UM, and FSU T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc. around campus.  Please tell me that is no longer the case. Or, if it is - there is a group of evil hooligan thugs that stalk the idiots, taunt them repeatedly (maybe even a 2nd time), and force them to go to the Registrar's office to withdraw from USF.
  22. Nothing like tossing a little blame in the direction of USF. Gee, do you think NC State is pulling their weight because - give or take - it's basically a home game for them? Idiot.
