Not that you'll get to see USF if they happen to end up at that particular bowl game...that you have to spend the holidays in Detroit. What a hell hole. And, I used to live in a nice part of it. Not seeing the JL love fest any longer and really wondering where all the posters that were bashing me when USF was 3 - 0 and I said they probably will finish .500 or worse. Wasn't trying to be an a$$...just calling it like I saw it and thought many of you were looking past the teams like Cincy. I told you they played Ohio State tough and it wouldn't be an easy game. They looked like national champions last Sunday night and it was somewhat embarassing to watch. Now, seems some of you are HOPING they finish .500 and HOPE they get a bowl bid. Hopefully, they can take care of business the next 2 weeks. But, would actually take 3 loses in a row to see them somehow...some way...take out West Virginia. Pipe dream, I know, but they need to be knocked off their high horse, and it would be the biggest win in USF's short history and unbelievable media exposure. Okay, just woke up. Here's to hoping they beat Syracuse...

I am a Browns fan. Probably would have made fun of that fact in most years, but the Bucs aren't that great so far this year. Anyway, I really like Anthony Henry while he was on the Browns. He made an impact and got screwed out of the Rookie-of-the-Year award his first year in the NFL. Was sorry to see him leave Cleveland.

Look, I'm not talking about the superstar stud 5-star rated QB that is chosing between FSU, UM, Auburn, UGA, etc. I'm talking about some of what they may consider 2nd string or average players, but that would be starters for USF. This program shouldn't be losing ANY recruits to the likes of UL, Cincy, Pitt. And, WVU basically just reformed on the map a couple of years ago. Actually, it's about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the Columbus airport to the stadium depending on traffic - which shouldn't really be a factor unless you happen to hit construction. But, don't think any is going on that way right now. Columbus airport is easy access to I-71.  Wow. That's a commute everyday. Where do you live? I'm in Grandview Heights.

However, I have seen some of these around. Kidding? No. Didn't say they were going to win ANY of those games - and not convinced at this point that they will. Just saying it's time to step it up a notch. If they happened to pull out victories over any of them it would be a great step in the right direction and they WILL get national exposure by winning any of them.

Bearcat? I live about 2 hours from Cincy, and have NEVER seen one of these things lurking in the trees. That needs to change. Winning in Cincy, UL, or WVU may impact decisions of players in those areas.

Kind of touched on this before the Miami fight fiasco, but now USF can become more appealing than ever. USF beats either UL or WVU or both and this program explodes. Miami is in HUGE damage control. Coker most likely is gone. Kinda surprised somewhat that it didn't already happen. The alumni are officially done with him and many have some serious cash to back their disdain of him and how the program looks to the rest of the country at this point. FSU is simply not getting the national exposure any more. I live in Ohio and have barely heard their name mentioned this football season. Plus, they just lost to NC State on national TV. UF is a good program, but just lost to Auburn. So, USF pulls out a victory at UL or at WVU...or both...goes to a bowl game, plays competitively and wins they will have some fire power to pursuade football players to the school. They need to jump on this right now and win some big games.

I'm back. Was at Bear Lake, MI for a week. I'm sure you all missed me dearly... :'(  Two nice wins. Two opponents that should have been beaten. Schedule gets tough now - well, with exception of Syracuse. One game makes them bowl eligible. Two wins proves something to me because that means USF beats either a ranked team or a fairly tough Cincy team. It also makes my prediction of finishing .500 or worse wrong - and, I know you'd all love to make me eat crow on that one. So, is there two wins in these remaining games?

What is ridiculous is that the old cranks don't know when to give it up. Joe Pa had a mad diarrhea dash to the john during the OSU game. Ran across part of the field because his Adult Depends weren't holding up. Joe Pa left the field, and the team actually looked better. Plus, Bowden is a senile quack. Push comes to shove...I'd lay my bottom dollar that the assistants are running the show at both places these days. They might as well get both of them mounted like deer and keep them around forever.

It would be nice. Bowden isn't going to last much longer if he loses to teams like NC State. And, most likely, Coker is done after this season if they lose 1 or 2 more games. Just too many alumni already want his head on a platter. So, I'm guessing next year Miami has a new coach, and within 2 FSU has a new coach. With that, will most likely be rebuilding as well. USF has a chance to step it up a notch in recruiting the next couple of years if they could pull out some key victories.

It would make my whole USF football year if they went up there and beat them to stop their undefeated streak, and keep their fans from crying about not getting into the NC game. Because even if they do go undefeated, OSU & USC probably won't lose. Which means they wouldn't have made it to the NC game anyway. So, basically, USF beating them would just be doing them a favor. ;D

Big Ten has the best two football teams in the country and very well may end up having #1 vs. #2 when Michigan comes to Columbus to play Ohio State.

One that doesn't view the world through Green & Gold blinders? The team lost last night AT HOME to Rutgers. Rutgers, a team that has been playing football for 138 years and been ranked for exactly 6 weeks of those 138 years. 6 weeks. They will not be ranked in the Top 25 be season's end. Yes, I was one of the ones that wanted football. They used to send me alumni donation requests, and everytime I got one I wrote in big black words, Get a football team & I'll donate. When they sent out the requests stating it was to get the necessary amount for that to happen, I donated. I still do. Was great going from nothing to where they are now - Division I & Big East. But, sorry, not satisfied. The 10 year thing can be used by all of you as long as you wish, but it isn't going to cut it for me. When Leavitt proves to me that he can get into the Big East and do damage year in and year out I'll stop calling things the way I see them. Last night USF played a football team that was KNOWN as a running team. Did any of you see a defensive scheme to stop the run? They should have been crowding the line ALL NIGHT and made the QB beat them. It's football coaching, not rocket science. Leavitt did a great job getting the program where it is, but doesn't mean that he's the right guy to keep it going to the next level. Coaches turn programs around quickly all the time. The, "wait until next year," statements don't have keep going. If just getting a football team was good enough for some of you people, great. But, Florida is too much of a football mecca to be mediocre. This team is rapidly becoming another UCF and recruits will view it that way. They will turn to USF only if they don't get recruited by FSU, UF, UM, or some other major power in the US. Why exactly will USF be better next year? Didn't we hear that last year? Off field problems, stupid penalties, bad play calling all adds up to bad coaching. If you didn't see it already you shouldn't looked a little harder this morning. Fans were complaining. So, blame me if it makes you feel better. I really don't care. I don't want my alma mater to be an okay football program, I want them to be a great program.
