  1. I thought the Bulls played really well. They consistently got the shot they wanted, but just couldn't make them fall including a few layups/dunks. The dome was exciting again - students had a great turnout and the place was pretty loud during the 20-3 run. One will go our way very soon. Marlyn has just lost it. Since he missed the dunk against UAB he hasn't been the same player. He is hesitating on taking open shots and missing the ones he does take. I think it is going to take a lot for him to get it out of his head and pick up his confidence again.
  2. My bad - I thought this was replacing the team in Guadalajara. Thanks for the info.
  3. I think his team is based in Guadalajara. For as little TV exposure as MLS gets, I hope they don't dis a Mexican team for US TV so we can see him play once in a while.
  4. I agree, more and more recruiting posts are showing up on both boards - I'm reading the same thing twice. Bulliever, Velcro, Gary - can we move them?
  5. I think it helps brand and only hurts attendance when it is moved to a weekday for TV.
  6. Mutt, your 2006 BE games are backwards and just as good a shot that Miami is a home game in 2006 as 2007.
  7. Has the BE said when the football schedule will be announced?  I thought someone posed in the past that they normally come out with the dates in January.
  8. That will be 119 teams, not 117 looking for a 12th game. I still say we try to lure one of the big BCS schools here that already have 7 home games scheduled for 2006 & 2007 and don't want an 8th home game for whatever reasons.
  9. Odd WI article - it doesn't mention South Florida until the 7th paragraph and then as an adjective for "turnover". Just struck me kind of funny.
  10. If so, watch out - that place is FULL of UF paraphernalia. I must also say WTF!
  11. Alright, I have to ask. Is there any water at 56th and Fowler to actually be dockside?
  12. Suprised that Marquette looked very beatable (is that a word?). Must have had a real off night.
  13. 1. Lived in Ohio - knew I wanted to go to school in Florida - threw darts at a map and it couldn't have worked out better. 2. Accounting - Marketing. 3. 4 1/2 years fulltime. 4. Iota first 3 years. 5. Many things so no comment. Bonus - Yes, met my wife at the Andros pool and have been married for 20 years.
  14. SBC folks, how was the meeting with CRM? What was discussed?
  15. Speaking of wanna bees..... CFN has all 3 of them ranked in the "Bottom 19" of their first 2005 rankings: http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2005/Rankings/Pre_preseason_Bottom19.htm
  16. I know, I know - how to actually pay for stuff always gets in the way. BUT...someone had the financing arrangement outlined here for paying it off over 30 years and the debt service (including new concessions/parking revenue) was net equal to or less than we are paying now. I really don't mean to start the great debate all over again!
  17. Why not just take the $50 to $150 million and include the stadium now? $100 million will look like a bargain in 10 years when they are looking at $300 million to build a stadium.
  18. Has the ncaa given it's blessing to returning after playing on a team like that?
  19. C'mon it's the nfc - does anyone really care except for you Philly guys?
  20. Heard an ad on DAE this afternoon for the Ian & Ron show that already had sound bites from CRM included.
  21. I've got a mean version of bohemian rhapsody tucked in my belt and I'm not afraid to use it.
  22. I wonder if they will charge you again for the personalization. After all, you are the only person in FLA with that tag. I bet they might just charge you the $40 fee for the new plate.
  23. Suspence, buy your tickets from USF athletics and you will have a seat in the Bulls allotment. I am sure the Bulls club and Alumni assoc will have their usual package where you can buy just game ticket OR ticket/pre-game USF party OR ticket/party/hotel OR ticket/party/hotel/bus-train. There will be lots of options. Whatever you do, don't buy them from Miami or Ticketmaster. I think 7,000 Bulls turn out for this game if it is indeed on a Saturday, but it will be impossible to really measure how many as most Bulls on the east coast will buy their tickets in Miami or from TM and won't be sitting together. I would assume athletics will ask for a 5,000 minimum allotment. Miami will provide them with whatever they want given their attendance track record at home.
