  1. Over 45,000 announced - actual attendance should easily be over 40,000. First time it felt like a real college game at RayJay - it was great! (Walking to the car it looked like UCFers REALLY trashed the parking lot (1/2 of Lot 6 and all of Lot 8 ) - bottles, cans, broken coolers and trash everywhere.  I don't think the TSA staff has ever had a task on hand like this to clean up before the game tomorrow.)
  2. What's gonna suck for them is that they won't be able to see the other UCF fans or their band from up there.  Their view is of the field, end zones and the USF side of the house. I bet they all end up on the south patio after bailing from the 3rd level.
  3. UEI, that was very impressive. You really Don McLean or something?
  4. The South 1/3 of Lot 6 is not reserved. If you enter the lot 8 entrance off of Himes Ave. with a car (not an RV) between 2:00 and probably about 4:00, you will be directed to that part of Lot 6. They have a rope set up between the Lot 6 donor reserved spaces and the Lot 6 general parking.
  5. I think Miami only has 10 games scheduled for next year - 8 ACC, Cincy home and UL away. Why can't they just commit to the return for next year? And I agree with the 12 game schedule and only 7 conference opponents, we should at least commit to UCF for another 4 or 5 years.
  6. Thanks for the reply, Eric. But here is the bottom line question that doesn't add up. We have sold 15,000 season tickets. UCF fans must be at least at 5,000 with their 3,400 allocation plus the extra 600 students plus whatever else they have bought from USF or on ticketmaster. That's 20,000 right there. So we have sold zero single tickets to USF fans and other locals? Heck, we know ET bought a few. Not trying to be difficult, but it is very confusing.
  7. St. Pete Times: I don't understand this. Last week for FAMU, it was reported that we had sold 20,000 tickets. There is no way in h*ll that we sold 14,000 tickets during the few days before the game and walk-up (43,000 - 9,000 students/comps - 20,000 reported advance). Now we are again saying that only 20,000 tickets have been sold, yet we will have to open the upper deck - UCF students already have tickets up there. I wasn't a math major, but this just doesn't add up.
  8. I was talking about the ticket scanners are used for attendance counts since they have no turnstiles. How do they get a count of the students then if they don't get scanned by the ticketing system scanners?
  9. Tickets arrived today and the letter from the Bulls Club says 8:00 pm.
  10. There are no turnstiles at RayJay. The valid scans are the attendance count.
  11. Received my Miami tickets today.  At least they got our logo right on the tickets as opposed to their website.  Although our U is much smaller than their U.  Looks like we are in section L - goal line corner. BTW, the accompanying letter says KO is 8:00.
  12. Last piece about this in the paper said it was being considered for 8:00 for ESPNU I believe.
  13. Been fighting ants in lot 6 also - we've been putting a tarp down on the ground before the chairs go down. Also, bring canopy or umbrellas as the few spots under trees are taken quickly and the sun is brutal if you don't have some shade.
  14. I was looking at vegas insider where books that opened at 10 or 10.5 are down 2 points. http://www.vegasinsider.com/cgi-bin/v/odds/15minute/line_db.cgi?g=NCAAF-CENTFL-SFLA-9-17#C
  15. Line has moved a solid 2 points. Someone is putting some serious coin on UCF.
  16. I know it won't be an issue because you have to win, but there is some talk on their board about tearing down the goalposts. I guess they haven't dealt with NFL security before.
  17. Both these coaches are being so PC in praising the other team. These conferences don't mean anything anymore.
  18. Don't get too excited - Steve and Barry's sells EVERYBODY. I saw UC-Davis shirts at a S&B in Ohio. It's really a great store though. Once in a while they will have an unadvertised 2-3 days where the max price in the store is $5.95 or $6.95 and includes golf pullovers, bomber type jackets, heavy duty hooded sweatshirts, etc.
  19. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I just saw that we play UCF in volleyball Friday night at the Corral - interesting scheduling.
  20. USF announces attendance as paid tickets (where used or not) plus free tickets (students, junior bulls, recruits) actually used. When there is a discrepancy with actual attendance, the gap is paid tickets that did not show up. I imagine most of this are corporate season tickets that go unused.
  21. The FAMU band was in section 131 and they were squeezed in real tight. There were no regular folk in that section - only the band. Reading through some of the UCF posts, I don't think I've seen anyone that says they have tickets in 131.
  22. Half of lot 6 and all of lot 8 are open for general parking.  Enter off Himes Ave.  These lots will open at 2pm.  Lot #14 is the "old mall" lot people are refering to. <SOUTH - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NORTH>
  23. JN, can you provide the link to these pics?
  24. From messing with the ticketmaster site, I would estimate there are still about 6,000 tickets available in the lower bowl - about 1/2 of the south endzone and 2nd level corners are still open. So if the USF student sections fill up like they did for FAMU, we are at about 35,000 right now. No way we sell more than 3-4,000 tickets this week and at walk-up.
