  1. Why would anybody buy a companion ticket for a 70 year old?
  2. IB, there are a lot of single tickets available in the donor sections which, as you say are from goal line to goal line onl both sides. According to Eric, we only actually sell these singles between the endzone and the 20 yard lines. Between the 20's is off limits to single sales so unless groups step up to buy these tickets they go unsold.
  3. For all the "Fat" stuff they dished out this week, I saw a LOT of UCF plumpness last night - fans, students, flag girls and dancers. Maybe the dancers pants were just way too tight, but there were some hanging midriffs.
  4. Anybody know where we can get the actual attendance?
  5. Anybody see anyone arrested for underage drinking? I imagine the undercovers were caught off guard with this game and just patrolled the USF student tailgates like usual. If they would have been in lots 6 and 8, they would have needed to use all the UCF busses to haul them all to booking.
  6. I went to the UCF - Ohio game last year and yes, they tailgate and drink just as heavily at home, but they had no visiting fans to taunt so who knows what will happen if the USF students show up in force.
  7. Fortunately the students were segregated - I think most USF students were in the north and mall lots. I know all the UCF students were in the south lots. If they would have been together in mass pre-game and post-game, it could have gotten really ugly.
  8. What happened on the blocked kick - did they just get in or was there an issue with the snap or hold?  I don't think there was a replay in stadium.
  9. but is there an extended show on another station? Lighthall says we'll be back with your phone calls and they switched to the national news.
  10. Funny, from the home side (and tv camera side) the lower level looked just about full excpet for the high donor seats between the 20's. There were empty groups of 4 and 6 seats here and there. As Eric explained to us these seats are not sold on single sale - only season and groups. But overall I thought it looked great in person and more people were in the 3rd level than last week.
  11. I agree - they were definitely out in numbers more than I expected. And I must give them props on one front - they said they know how to tailgate and they sure did - arrived early and drank heavily.
  12. 970 just cut away from the game coverage and went to the news. Do we not have a call in show anymore?
  13. Over 45,000 announced - actual attendance should easily be over 40,000. First time it felt like a real college game at RayJay - it was great! (Walking to the car it looked like UCFers REALLY trashed the parking lot (1/2 of Lot 6 and all of Lot 8 ) - bottles, cans, broken coolers and trash everywhere.  I don't think the TSA staff has ever had a task on hand like this to clean up before the game tomorrow.)
  14. What's gonna suck for them is that they won't be able to see the other UCF fans or their band from up there.  Their view is of the field, end zones and the USF side of the house. I bet they all end up on the south patio after bailing from the 3rd level.
  15. UEI, that was very impressive. You really Don McLean or something?
  16. The South 1/3 of Lot 6 is not reserved. If you enter the lot 8 entrance off of Himes Ave. with a car (not an RV) between 2:00 and probably about 4:00, you will be directed to that part of Lot 6. They have a rope set up between the Lot 6 donor reserved spaces and the Lot 6 general parking.
  17. I think Miami only has 10 games scheduled for next year - 8 ACC, Cincy home and UL away. Why can't they just commit to the return for next year? And I agree with the 12 game schedule and only 7 conference opponents, we should at least commit to UCF for another 4 or 5 years.
  18. Thanks for the reply, Eric. But here is the bottom line question that doesn't add up. We have sold 15,000 season tickets. UCF fans must be at least at 5,000 with their 3,400 allocation plus the extra 600 students plus whatever else they have bought from USF or on ticketmaster. That's 20,000 right there. So we have sold zero single tickets to USF fans and other locals? Heck, we know ET bought a few. Not trying to be difficult, but it is very confusing.
  19. St. Pete Times: I don't understand this. Last week for FAMU, it was reported that we had sold 20,000 tickets. There is no way in h*ll that we sold 14,000 tickets during the few days before the game and walk-up (43,000 - 9,000 students/comps - 20,000 reported advance). Now we are again saying that only 20,000 tickets have been sold, yet we will have to open the upper deck - UCF students already have tickets up there. I wasn't a math major, but this just doesn't add up.
  20. I was talking about the ticket scanners are used for attendance counts since they have no turnstiles. How do they get a count of the students then if they don't get scanned by the ticketing system scanners?
  21. Tickets arrived today and the letter from the Bulls Club says 8:00 pm.
  22. There are no turnstiles at RayJay. The valid scans are the attendance count.
  23. Received my Miami tickets today.  At least they got our logo right on the tickets as opposed to their website.  Although our U is much smaller than their U.  Looks like we are in section L - goal line corner. BTW, the accompanying letter says KO is 8:00.
