  1. That UConn number looks suspect. Do they have EXACTLY 40,000 seats and every game has been a sell out?
  2. Thanks Jim - got it. I know what ESPN Regional is but listings I looked at did not have the game listed as ESPN Regional - only as game plan. If the BE game of the week is always made available to ESPN Regional and the local markets that want to carry it, then it makes sense for exposure of BE schools. Never Mind!
  3. If there are no cameras at the game (local Syracuse TV, ESPN 360, etc.), then no bar nor the dome has any feed to pick up even if they want to work out some arrangement. No cameras = No video. I guess we could all go to the dome, drink beer and listen to the radio on some amazing sound system. The Sun Dolls could act out the plays - kind of like live instant reply.
  4. Since "bowl eligibility" rules have been in place, I don't think there has ever been a bowl eligible team from a BCS conference that did not get a bid. Am I way off here?
  5. I kind of disagree. Every year there are only 2-4 teams that are bowl eligible and don't get a bid. I would think being bowl eligible and in the BE would help emensely with this over schools with 6-5 records from non-BCS conferences, especially the SunBelt, WAC and MAC.
  6. What is the point of being the "game of the week" if it is not available nationally on a non-pay network? To just pick a game to be at noon for game plan only is stupid IMO. That doesn't get you better ratings or exposure and kills the local crowd in markets like Tampa where casual fans have other things to do on Saturday at noon. I guess it doesn't matter in college towns where the game is the ONLY thing to do on Saturday - the BE is not in those markets.
  7. Why is the Cincy game at noon if it is only on game plan nationally? Why is this not a night game?
  8. Harmon has it Rutgers 20-17. Sagarin has it USF -1.
  9. Thanks Vicki - please post again as soon as the conference confirms tomorrow.
  10. Once again we didn't play and moved from #39 to #34. UL #23 and WVU #24. I guess he puts a lot of stock in not losing on any given weekend.
  11. So do we know if the Soccer game will be on Saturday or Sunday and the time?
  12. Does that mean with the 12 game schedule, you must have 7 wins to be eligible. If that is the case, I don't think there will be enough teams to fill all the slots next year.
  13. For you statisticians.... Last year there were 56 bowl slots and 117 1A teams. How many bowl eligible teams were there? What teams were bowl eligible that did not get an invite? How about the same questions for 2003?
  14. Great, but is there a plan to get the donors in E1 and P1 to actually show up this year?
  15. I don't think UF has one. I thought they installed 2 corner boards (with video, etc.) about 5 years ago. Have they recently hung one in the middle?
  16. As usual when we don't play, we move up a bit in the Sagarin ratings. The Louisville, Pitt and Penn State wins help this. Bulls are #39 overall and #3 in the BE.
  17. for the St. Leo game or is the goal to have them installed by the first BE game? Just curious - I'd rather be tailgating.
  18. Yeah, what are you talking about - next year? No way the BE let's us play an 11 game schedule. Ain't gonna happen.
  19. Why is this game on Catch 47? Are showing BE games part of this new deal with Brighthouse?
  20. They're actually selling advance tickets in level 3 for a lower price than the seats below. Sounds a bit optomistic, but I hope it doesn't backfire. My less-than-wealthy friends will buy $10 level 3 seats and "slide down" into the $15 or $20 seats where there are no ushers. Hopefully, the first and second levels will be full enough that you can't do that.
  21. Wilma is moving so slow it may not reach Tampa until December 3rd.
  22. Wilma has really slowed down. Saturday afternoon it will still be just off the coast of the Yucitan. Bummer.
