  1. About 2 1/2 miles south of RayJay. I think I'll drive up Saturday morning instead of Friday night.
  2. I would guess 38,000 - a little bit more than the Army game. I think the casual fan walk-up will be killed with UF-TN on tv and Paul McCartney in town.
  3. Aside from CJL speak on UCF, see the notes at the bottom - UL game may be moved to 6:45 for ESPNU and the various individual rankings. http://bulls.tbo.com/bulls/MGB0K0O1IDE.html
  4. Part of Lot 6 and all of Lot 8 are open to the public and draw many families for tailgating. These lots will be open at 2pm on Saturday. Enter off Himes Avenue. http://www.buccaneers.com/rjs/parking.aspx
  5. He did agree with Lighthall that this game "has rivalry written all over it" and he thinks it will come down to the last play.
  6. According to Sagarin, UCF will be favored by 7 - not sure how that happened.
  7. Reading the UCF board, they truly believe they are going to bring 20,000 people. They keep saying they will have more fans in attendance than the Bulls. Last year, they averaged 19,000 for their home games (which includes a big spike for WVU). Do they really think they will have more people in Tampa then go to their home games? I just don't get the logic in all this.
  8. I was on the home side and the view was the same - all seats were full in the lower bowl. The upper deck had people in about 5 sections wide, about half way back - I would guess around 2,500.
  9. There were FAMU extended (3 generations) families all around me and they gave HOT applause that were more than just polite. Many of them commented about how nice RayJay is compared to their annual trek to the Citrus Bowl.
  10. Joe, is that true? Then who where all those people in the 2nd level corners that are reserved for students? When I saw that was full, I figured there were about 6-7,000 students there.
  11. It was an okay choice and I thought HOT sounded great, much larger and louder than in the past. I just hope we don't have to hear the same show over the next 2 weeks. Then we'll all be ******** it's as bad as BR.
  12. I also liked the new animation but agree we must have stats at least at half time. When I saw them about to blow up an inflatible before the game, I was syched thinking it was a Bull or a USF tunnel or something for the team to run through. Turns out to be the Mc golden arches - bummer.
  13. There were no TV cameras at the game so there can't be a replay unless they use game film.
  14. deluge of UCF posters. Get ready for the pissing contests to begin. As we all know, UCF: 1. Tailgates better than USF. 2. Has better T-shirts than USF. 3. Is in a conference more deserving of a BCS bid than USF. 4. Was more worthy of getting the Big East invite than USF. 5. Reports attendance more accurately than USF. 6. Will get an on campus stadium before USF. 7. Played better teams early on than USF. 8. Has better looking women than USF. 9. Has a better looking campus than USF. 10. Is in a better city than USF. Thank god they never mention they play better on the field than USF because they know it's not true. This is going to be a painful board to read this week.
  15. Bien, do you really think the holder was the problem with the 3 Benzer misses? I could not tell from the replays.
  16. I was on the west side so I did not see the high donor empty seats. From my view when the FAMU band was on the field every seat in each end zone and the east side looked like it had a body in it (and no one was wearing red or pewter shirts.)
  17. Thanks, GSJ - I never knew the rules were different with the coin toss.
  18. Did anyone else notice that we received the kickoff at both the beginning of the game and the second half? Is it possible this was a legitimate mistake or is there some rule where the team that wins the toss can choose to have the other team receive both times? It just did not make sense and I have never seen that happen before in any college or pro game.
  19. Saw a recap that showed 43,122 in attendance tonight.  It sure looked like every single seat in the lower bowl was full during halftime plus another couple thousand on both patios and maybe 2-3,000 in the upper deck.  I am surprised it was not announced at 46-47,000. A great crowd that was completely silent and in awe when the FAMU band played America the Beautiful.  It was really a great experience. And BTW, HOT was much, much, much improved.
  20. I drove by the Mall parking lot at 9am and there was already a famu group there firing up a very large bbq. There were no gates or cones up blocking the drive.
  21. We can't get this show cleared for Catch 47? http://bigeast.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/090805aaa.html
