  1. Yes and everyone came to our conference (and then we sold the brand) not a single team thought about how much stronger we could make conference usa
  2. Given his propensity for bold offensive strategies you have to imagine this is right around the corner
  3. The B12 has more brand equity and will be flush with exit fees and will have teams left in it that provide more value than the current make up of the AAC it would make no sense to rebuild in the AAC instead of the B12. I honestly cannot come up with single reason anyone would go that direction.
  4. It’s important to be consistent otherwise people may react negatively to something that isn’t in itself negative and then confuse the other readers
  5. His position is that people shouldn’t be taking issue with the article because it wasn’t directly inflammatory. It ignores the fact that the issue is with the author and not the article and does not exist in a vacuum. That is the straw man argument. Your use of it when I compared a history of actions by a person having more to do with opinions of a person than a singular act is a pretty reasonable comparison and if you do not see that it seems like you just posting memes you saw previously on the internet.
  6. How do you figure? If you try to build your career being hostile to USF and it’s fans while covering their beat you can’t exactly be shocked that some of the fans will react negatively to anything that you write. It’s not that people have an issue with this article per-say, it’s that they have an issue with the author and he went out of his way to make it this way. For things to change it’s going to take a while. Until then what happened to him moving on from our coverage? I felt that was better for everyone.
  7. So if every day I kicked you in the nuts but then one day I didn’t kick you in the nuts would you be super grateful and thank me for simply not outright harming you or still be pissed about every other day that I did attack you for no reason?
  8. Not at the rate of being in the P5 not even close I’m not saying that being in the B12 after it rebrands to some like the AAC from the Beast would be as impactful as $35 million (but it would still be a boost). I am saying that no amount of contingency access makes up for the huge gap between $7 million a year vs these numbers and of course being P5 still matters every bit as much as it did yesterday. They have way more money and way more access and that’s obviously better than a little money and a little narrow sliver of access.
  9. I can think of at least 35 million reasons why that’s not true
  10. And another thing how does the game at Pitt not make the list and how the hell does Auburn not crack the top 10?
  11. Two things one shockingly enough the list is dominated by CJL and CSH’s first year teams, two the entire list is made up by wins except the third greatest game where we lost to UCF what a clown choice for number three and a perfectly Joey way to ruin a nice stroll down memory lane.
  12. Then they should probably change the messaging in their advertisements
  13. Nothing says I’m ready to fight quite like fainting in the face of adversity
  14. I’m not letting those guys anywhere near my junk, not that there is anything wrong with that…
  15. I decided instead to set my dollar on fire to see if it would miracle itself into $300, it didn’t but I think it had the same likelihood
  16. Any negative posting is because of negative results. The best way to get positive results is sponsoring players which is why while you have been able to spend anything you liked on coaches and facilities you had to rely on bag men and death penalties to fund player sponsorship. If we invest enough in player sponsorship it won’t be very long until the players that were smart enough to take the money someone else was going to take anyway are actually being sponsored by a pretty positive and uplifting community. The reason this place seems negative is because it is made of people that have continually supported an athletics program that asks for more with no real plan in site for how to use that money to improve, if we go straight to the actual source of improvement maybe we will actually find it.
  17. Sometimes in the world of whoring yourself out (you dont have to sell your likeness for this just so anything you wouldn’t do otherwise without being paid) you have to let people say things about you that you wouldn’t otherwise accept, as long as they pay you more. I’ve had people say horrible things to me but then the payments hit my account and it really takes the sting out of it.
  18. He still has more big wins than every other coach that has followed him combined, which is almost as funny as it is sad
  19. I’m just saying the only place he wasn’t a graduate assistant in FBS football (which he only got because of Bowden for his dad) was from his dad hiring and promoting him. Then after he got both of them **** canned from USC he took a job at ECU which wasn’t exactly exceptional, so what in the absolute hell did anyone actually see in his resume that made them think it was improvement?
  20. I said no one was honestly happy they just convinced themselves that they were (I’m going to let you in on a little secret I sometimes exaggerate things) and he said actually only me him and a few others saw the hire for what it was apparently no one else has eyes and they find this exciting his entire resume leading to here simply reads was the son of Lou Holtz and South Carolina even got Lou to sign there by promising that he would be the coach in waiting. He cost his dad two jobs and seeing him in action was enough from them to say what clause in what contract.
  21. I for one at least applaud that he has stayed even if it is from naïveté
  22. I take a little solace in it. I remember talking to my exes father and he was like would you rather be happy or right? I told him I can’t be happy if I’m not right…
