  1. I doubt I was writing intentionally for an audience I am not sure I was aware existed.
  2. Who said I was every leaving the board? I like it here and Brads leadership, I don’t know what that would have to do with MK being entitled to more money to squander. I’m sorry I annoy you it’s not intentional and I do not harbor the same feelings of you because I appreciate any and all of our long suffering fans.
  3. I’ve written longer paragraphs on here. I’m just pissy but I honestly think we could probably find some better messaging if we are trying to attract fans instead of pouring gasoline on the defections. We are coming off a single win season maybe this would be a good year to try a program to win back defectors with a will win more games or the next ones on me, or even join us early and we will win more seasons than the last for the next three years or we will refund you (or at least a portion based on x) really there is no reason not to throw the kitchen sink at it because the bar is so low, will probably not improve much this season and if things are this bad in three years you really aren’t going to have to worry about who the next guy is going to be that’s going to have to hand out all of these refunds. Just do something that resembles productivity and stop ******** about the people that ought to be ******** about you because FYI their support is way stronger than your results.
  4. Well first I have to make sure I’m actually ready to throw in the towel but if I do I’m pretty sure I will realize it’s actually nicer from the couch
  5. I think the part that has me so fired up (besides the fact that it’s not taking ownership of a situation you are in charge of) is what’s the point of this messaging? Does anyone believe that a single person will see this victim blaming and be inspired to donate even a single dollar more? Is it simply to make himself feel better about being a failure? Is he worried about heat (in which case he should be thankful we have less fans and donors)? Honestly I do not get the purpose of this instead of “I’m sorry that we have done things that have led to fans abandoning the program but as long as I am here we will continue to fight to win you back and give you a reason to want to fund and support your program. The failure and the excuses end today and we will earn your dollar or get fired trying”. Does this honestly resonate with anyone? It doesn’t sound like messaging from an executive at any corporation or business that I would give a single dollar to.
  6. I wonder how many contributions he made and how supportive he was when he left and went to work for the ACC and college football national championship? I know, I know it’s different but hear me out. If life conditions such as where you are employed can play a part in how much support you provide a program what if other people have their support influenced by things like the fact you have ran one of the least successful stretches in college football? What if just because someone went to school somewhere didn’t mean they have to care about and blindly finance something that has demonstrated the smallest fraction of the care it has demanded from them? It’s been more than a decade since the last person that actually demonstrated the passion for the program required of fans was forced out of the building. When the Rays and Bucs are dragging the seller I don’t really hear a whole lot of how they need more support and it’s the fans fault for not supporting institutionalize failure as to why they can’t win. When people start to get some traction and demonstrate they are on track is typically when they make petitions for the fans to follow suit. Maybe at least wait until the first time your curve doesn’t look like a straight decline one (that would have to have us win a negative amount this season to follow its slope) before you dare open your mouth about the people that have kept this program on life support while people just like you that got paid to fail (not quite as spectacularly as you have) have continued to try to find the last death nail into the coffin, I think the words you are actually trying to find for the fans is thank you for funding our incompetence despite no evidence that any amount of money would actually make a difference but it just came out a bit wrong. In all fairness to him I was probably looking for a reason but I think maybe this is where I get off, thanks MK and be sure to hit me up on Twitter as soon as a reporter calls you out on it as I’m that’s a scalable way to provide outreach to abandoned fans (it’s not like you have a database or anything where you can find all of the defectors you would like to discover and uncover where and why you lost the fans). This isn’t the first time MK has demonstrated that he looks at this problem entirely wrong which is probably not helping our continued failure but if it’s not not the last time I’m going to listen to it without joining the countless other problems it’s pretty **** close to it.
  7. I think that if I were VPMK be CJS I would be more worried about sitting in front of a recruit and it being technically true that I may someday win an FBS game but that it seems to be an extremely tough putt for me.
  8. Well it’s the latest figures I have in my head, so what is Texas, second? Either way having been first for a long time didn’t seem to beget the winning you would expect from cause and effect but oddly losing does seem to do something to your revenue… odd, who would have thought??
  9. Cool story bro now do Texas at what point does being first in revenue beget the whole cracking the top 20? When does South Carolina bringing in more money leapfrog Clemson? Why are Michigan and Ohio State millions apart financially but seem worlds apart in results? How do we explain the curious case of FSU? Who exactly was coastal Carolina beating in the coffers before they beat out most of the country in results? If I only had this I would be successful is the battle cry of the loser that has no actual actionable plan and it rarely plays out that way in real life. It’s an excuse and everyone can have as many as they would like or they can actually try to go out and do something about obtaining the goals they claim to be being held back from.
  10. Their alumni association prices must be considerably higher than ours, unless the act is supposed to be more ceremonial, because I doubt I as well as the university would notice if I didn’t send $50 or whatever it is a year to be a part of that.
  11. I dream of being at that level of misfortune, playing in the Big 10 and winning three games sounds like a pipe dream especially if I’m doing it in 50 degree weather. Imagine how he would have felt with a single FCS win, losing to AAC teams you have to Google walking into the stadium most games while trying not to spontaneously combust in 100 degree weather with 100 percent humidity. If we had their problems attendance and contributions would be up. We do not offer a single thing but guilt in attempting to extort money from our dwindling fanbase. People are entitled to be wrong
  12. That would be the more accurate look at the problem but if administration was to blame then someone may actually expect the people hired to fix the issues to actually have solutions, taking ownership of a problem is never fun so it’s much easier to blame abstract things like engagement, Indian burial grounds and the football G-ds.
  13. From my perspective life began in the 80’s no one cars about the BP era when you people used to drive around in buggies and stare at the sun for entertainment
  14. I would agree that it was not intentional, simply because we are not good enough at execution to generate this level of "success". I just take umbrage with people blaming the consumer for their failings. There are great reasons why you do not have the level of support that you think you are entitled to, maybe do some reflecting and try to fix a few of them and see what happens. You do not have the level of support because no one can say with a straight face that they believe USF football is better off today than it was 22 years ago, hell I would argue that we were better off 25 years ago.
  15. I mean sure most people would take that more direct cause and effect approach but it is way more fun to come at it from the opposite direction after all the Cubs and the Red Sox both prove that if you have a rabid, die hard large fan base that continues to support your failings and sell out your games that in 100 short years that can lead to championships so why bother giving anything that even resembles results before that?
  16. I think this shows that with a proper strategy you can create demand for almost anything, certainly they didn’t start with sending people bags of chia seeds and then say if you keep buying these at inflated prices we will eventually transform those seeds into bart simpsons head. You have to have the vision, not the customer and then you have to sell that vision to the customer through proper marketing. We suck but it’s not our fault it’s yours is not a proper vision or marketing strategy, this isn’t a Church it’s supposed to be entertainment (but I can see how that gets lost by the fact it’s been a while since it’s actually been entertaining).
  17. Except people did buy in, people did support and people kept up their end of the bargain and USF squandered it. The fans demonstrated they wanted success and it was infectious, that USF decided it didn’t want to be as successful as it’s fans and the community did does not mean they now get to cry about the decisions they have made to dry up the market. You want more fans and more money then do something about it but the downward spiral led to the current situation and not the reverse.
  18. We are going to revolutionize the business world, entrepreneur- a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so. People that took risks were so dumb when all they had to do was have the customer take on that burden in order to enrich them.
  19. Maybe we are going with an Onlyfans business model? I remember vividly the CEO of ValueJet saying "as soon as people start paying higher fares and filling our flights we intend to use that money to invest in no longer flying into the Everglades", I think they folded the next week. If there was something this group of people knew would lead to greater success they would be using the ~$20 million dollar runway they have from student fees to start heading that direction and organically gain fans and donations. Unfortunately the money cannot be used to by another athletic program so I have my doubts that any additional dollars would actually lead to any tangible results. If someone gave $50 million dollars tomorrow what specific thing would the money be spent on that would lead to guaranteed results? If there is such a thing then great use your current $50 million dollar budget and get started because at our current return on investment it would take a draw dropping $750 million dollars a year to get to undefeated and even Texas would find that expense absurd. You are the VP of Athletics for a football team coming of a 1 win season that just followed a 4 win season, you really ought to be happy anyone is still giving you anything and not chastening the people that you hope to court as customers. Give them a reason to want to invest, do your job.
  20. But why do they identify as being stand alone items as well as riders on almost every other package?
