  1. There is no reason to go to 16 the conferences below aren’t poaching anyone and I don’t see how it benefits those above to take these teams to get to 18 or 20. Sometimes less is more. It single handedly sucked away my excitement, hopefully no one sees that as a good idea
  2. Pitt blackballed PSU from the Beast there is no way PSU allows that to happen
  3. Yes I am in yellow the kid in the back used to post on here too I believe it was @IHuckItDeep and the other person is Andre hall
  4. Who do you think we have such a rich history with that you would miss a year after leaving? For me that list is made up of UC but even if they don’t come I’ve missed WVU far more than I would miss them. College football isn’t a relegation league and movement between conferences has absolutely nothing to do with results as evidenced by Texas’ reward for their past decade of failure in the B12 is moving to the highest of conferences and Boises reward for playing in BCS games was getting to watch middling teams advance. Movement is based almost entirely on money with a slight nod to academics and we just have to convince people that we can do what we have done before better than those that have never been there before. I can’t wait for the conference to explode it has brought absolutely nothing to our lives and has only taken from us to give to the garbage we dragged up to us.
  5. And if I were in the conference already I’d be pissed, just like I was last time, but we are already out so for us it’s improvement (just like it’s been for the hangers on that joined us). We are already there
  6. But at the table none the less which is a huge improvement over being at the children's table while putting a name tag on that says even though we are sitting here we identify as being the 6th person at the adult table that is set to five.
  7. They will eat each other and then pretend it’s improvement and they compete now with the expanded playoff until the teams that have all of the money and an actual path to the playoffs breakaway from them while they are shocked to see this happen. This is the last boat out.
  8. WVU isn’t going anywhere, if there was a conference that had any belief they should add them they wouldn’t have ended up in a conference made up of Texas to begin with.
  9. I think joining the B12 comes with a free oil field, oil rigs and refinery. We will just use that money.
  10. At least that is impactful across the board which feels much better than being one of only three teams left behind I still had hair.
  11. People know those brands better and anyone that tries to sell the AAC not being that bad has to draw on absurd minutia, if you are discussing details you have already lost the debate. People know Baylor, people know TT and people long for WV. The AAC marks the death of the program for more people than you think and an opportunity to rebrand by joining forces with better brands than we are unfortunately lumped with would make a world of difference, immediately.
  12. The only possible place for UCF to go is the B12, with your opinion of its ability to move the needle you should have little to fear (except for of course that the difference between Baylor and every other AAC team is night and day, UCF’s greatest win in program history is that they beat Baylor had Baylor beaten them it would be considered every other game).
  13. I used to have one of the most positive outlooks on the board but 10 years of a life on the streets of the AAC and athletics failures will change a man. The AAC is literally killing our program so anyway out will be seen as improvement to me, Id rather play in a conference of made up of Eastern European college startups than remain in this league for another moment. Change in this instance at least offers hope, which we have been lacking for a long time. Some of us have even come to embrace the darkness and fear the light, sad.
  14. It would bring the total number of AAC games I care about to 4 which is 4x the current list of UC, I have to think it’s a boost but maybe it’s just wishful thinking
  15. If you can’t trust random strangers on niche message boards with no vetting, that are named after someone that’s been dead since 2003, and gave us treasures like the attached then who can you trust? This may have me rethinking where I get my information on vaccines
  16. You are missing the small caveat that they will all jump ship as long as there is somewhere better to go. FOMO will not cause anyone to jump to the AAC because that option would be available at any time. if only three teams remain in the B12 they remain there and draw from BYU, the best of the West and the best of the AAC. There is no conceivable scenario where even a single B12 teams joins the AAC for even a second, it just makes no sense from any perspective.
  17. There was already the hope, it seems to conjure Wesley more so than Wesley conjuring the hope
  18. No one is leaving the B12 for the AAC even for their teams. We built the AAC with just us, UC and Uconn remaining and not once did it even get discussed that we could simply make CUsa stronger.
  19. No. There is not a single team in the AAC that every member in the AAC would not trade for WVU, OSU, KU, TCU KState, BU or TT. To be able to leave EZU, Tulane and whoever else is in this conference for them is a no brainer especially when you consider at least two of the best brands in the AAC will in fact be leaving to join the better teams in the B12 and be back filled with CUSA teams. No one actually likes being in the AAC, hopefully we can stop pretending soon.
  20. I will organize a convoy of couches to be sent to every man woman in child in WVU, that has to be hundreds of people
  21. Do you enjoy going to the mall and telling kids in line there is no Santa Claus? For the first time in a decade we get to have a single day of enjoyment and I see no reason to ruin it with a silly things like reality. There will be plenty of time to wallow in the AAC, just not today. Today we can have hope, I for one have missed it.
