  1. It’s nice to be excited about something so I choose to believe. I am ready to start erecting statues to VPMK and our 2 week President post haste and appreciate that we are willing to lose more money for the short run in order to create a viable future (that’s the nice thing about being preprofit and having a parent company with endless money, we have nothing to lose and laugh in the face of budget deficits).
  2. The good news is they will have to go after more than 2 in order to replace the departed as they were the only reason they weren’t forced to expand the last time our entire conference attempted to get in.
  3. There are at least three there is also the kind that vomit and faint, allegedly…
  4. Okay now what if that elevation takes them to the B12, how far do you believe we can elevate with the left behinds and back fills? You can’t play with **** without getting some on you and I think we have demonstrated that clear enough last time. You mean teams that lose to us do not often make the playoffs?
  5. If we have an option to hitch our wagon to the ACC or even the Big 6 I am all for that but the AAC isn’t quite those options now is it? Now imagine the AAC even dropping further into the unthinkable abyss that it already has engulfed us in, independence is favorable to that because we know people had a thirst for us originally, we know that there was a thirst in CUSA, we know it was insatiable in the Beast and we also know that Qflowers could win every game in the AAC and no one would care. This experiment has more than failed and should it actually get worse from a conference perspective I do not see how anyone could possibly think staying the course would be the actual best action. If an iceberg hits even hits the Titanic the best move is to get off the ship, the AAC isn’t even a Jon boat and if it gets hit by an iceberg we need to get off by any means necessary.
  6. I must be confused how many NY6 games has the AAC garnered us while bleeding us of attendance, fans relevancy or even interesting games that even get discussed around town? We could beat every AAC team every single year and no one would care because in the end you lose by playing these teams. BYU athletics brought in $72 million and they spent $50 million, we should be so lucky as to reverse fates with them as we spent more than that while bringing in less. Our home games against AAC teams are negative equity and with no carrying costs of a stadium we are free to negotiate 2-1s with reckless abandonment getting paid more for the road trips while bringing in more attendance and fans by playing teams at home people actually want to see. If you like watching us in the AAC than congratulations you are part of ~20k fans and dropping that feel the same way but the market here has spoken and the AAC is not something anyone here has any interest in buying. We need to find something that people actually want to buy instead of always having to chasten them on why they should buy something they have no interest in.
  7. You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one, also I am allergic to marijuana but even if I weren’t why would I want to take something that makes me lay around watching cartoons and eating Cheetos? No one has ever broken away from their oppressors by indulging in an opiate of the masses that dulls their fervor for revolution.
  8. All ideas are impossible and mocked until someone is brave enough to show it’s possible, we have seen a decade’s worth of what impact the AAC has on our program and fanbase and I doubt staying the course gets us much more than another decade of it. The wages of the AAC is death, even if it’s a slow boil.
  9. Even if there is three teams left in the historically better conference the historically better conference never dissolves and joins the lower conference, there is no advantage to either side in doing so
  10. There is no way you read the back and forth and came to that summary
  11. Neb said he guessed we should if we have to but that it’s probably not worth it and will have too high of travel costs especially if MWC teams are added. There is no maybe about if teams start jumping ship on your conference you are screwed and never left in salvageable shape if you get left behind. We should already be parked in front of every single B12 President and ADs door trying to be under cutters pizza on getting off this ship because we know first hand that people are leaving and what happens if you aren’t one of them.
  12. There is never a good time to go independent, it’s a scary thing to recognize the the comforting confines provided to you by a Leviathan are actually a prison. But sometimes you must bet on yourself and believe you can overcome the odds and become greater than your oppressors. There was never a great time for the lowly colonies to take on the mighty British but they did it anyway and we are all better for it. I’m willing to stake what little is left of our hopes on dying on our feet instead of on our knees because the reward is limitless and even should we try and fail at least it will be more fun to go out in blaze of glory surrounded by better company than to slowly slide into oblivion with those that FBS football has left behind. No You are welcome
  13. I said this is the worst we have ever had it and the only way it could ever get worse for us in the realities we have actually been in would be if the B12 starts throwing out invites and we get left in the AAC which would look exactly like current Cusa, assuming they would even be willing to jump over. If the B12 earns us a single dollar more and travel costs actually skyrocket we should take the offer because the AAC will be well on its way from $7 million to $3 million.
  14. On which part? Thinking TCU and Louisville were better than whoever is here now (as evidenced by the fact they are actually in the P5 instead of making up fairy tails about P6s) or that being the only one left on a sinking ship is a bad thing no matter what lies we would have to tell ourselves about additional costs (we’ve seen this movie before and everyone left behind dies even if they don’t realize it yet)?
  15. this is rock bottom I would kill to be back in conference USA back when we were actually in it and the only conceivable way this could be worse is if we have the only idiotic leadership in the AAC that decides to stay pat in what’s left of it in order to avoid the travel costs to Colorado and Texas.
  16. The cost of traveling to Texas and Colorado is the same as traveling to pretty much every area we have ever had to travel to up to and including Texas which we already travel to and are doing so again this year. If it makes sense for us to schedule games at San Jose State I am pretty certain traveling to hub cities isn’t going to strain any budgets.
  17. Does he get as much credit if we are left on the outside looking in?
  18. If too many of those are added I doubt we will have to worry about the costs
  19. In all fairness to them I watch all of our games and I’m not sure that I know that we play football either
  20. We aren’t traveling transatlantic, how much more do you honestly believe it costs to travel to Texas to play a B12 team vs traveling to Texas to play an AAC team?
  21. When you are making 40 million a million isn’t significant but when you are making 7 million a single million is going to help drive your decisions
