  1. I would say less than Jeff George on both the talent and the, well I'll say "football sense."
  2. I would like to see him at a position where he could not fumble . . . . . CB Having said that he will be a QB because thats what CJL told him he was going to be and thats that. The Jim sold himself out a little bit to get this kid from Miami. (No RS year, ect.) Now we are going to have to watch him ride the pine and waste his ability. If he is going to start at QB I would recommend a sports pychlogist to help him get a grip on his nerves.
  3. That is almost exactly what I was thinking. His head is in the way of his athletic ability. I would also like to see Grothe get his shot this fall.
  4. I don't know if is a whew or a shucks that I am looking for at this moment. Only time will tell if C Hill can make the most of this year on the field.
  5. http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=272961 You can size the picture and they logoed it for use as a great background. They are doing it to all images on the website, but its the first time I noticed it.
  6. This is the only reason this deal makes sense. To sign so fast with the Bucs a team with a 2nd year, high draft pick, productive back and MANY other backs they have shown committment to in the past shows me that there were other considerations. Good luck Andre.
  7. This has got to hurt recruiting. You ahve a back lead the big east, take USF to its first bowl, have strong character and then fail to get drafted. Everything that was ever asked of him he did to the highest level and it still isn't enough? How can a kid look at that and not be discouraged.
  8. Last best hopes? 230Washington 235Tampa Bay At this point it may be better for him to go somewhere as a free agent. I wonder when (if ever) a BCS conferences leading rusher failed to get drafted.
  9. Seems like this year the teams have avoided the pundents picks and gone on thier own. Its a **** shame that a great player and conference leading RB cannot get picked.
  10. I would lay money that he has cursed Rod Smiths name a hundred times in the last two days. Rod should cut him a check for about $500K.
  11. Its great to hear about DR anytime. I spent 20 minutes talking to a guy from Pitt who was there for the USF win. He couldn't believe Rubin and Blackwell were out of football. A real Pitt fan will always remember those two ruining the opening of Heinz field. A Bulls fan will never be able to stop comparing other Bulls to them for eternity. I hope DeAndrew hits on one of his opportunities.
  12. No problem as long as you don't tazer or pepper spray me. Sorry, I couldn't resist either.
  13. I like the guy but love? Alright, its true I love Staats too.
  14. 8th. Super. I made bold baseball predictions when we joined the Big East. So now I would like to trade my prediction in for two statements that have a real shot at being true: It will be proven that I am retarded within the next year, USF baseball will suck until the Devil Rays win the World Series. If only we were in a baseball state with good weather year round so we could get and edge . . .
  15. Where? Oh I know this one!! At Radio City Music Hall, 1260 6th Avenue, New York City (Between 50th and 51st Streets).
  16. Yeah man, at the top of that list . . . what are they thinking?
  17. I hope Jeremy Burnett works out and wins a starting job. I credit some of our defenses improvement with DV redshirting last year. He missed a lot of tackles as a freshman (BTW: I do not care if he made the C-USA freshman team) and it hurt us a ton. I am sure he has made tremendous strides by now but I still would like to see some competition for his job.
  18. I like the spying story, thanks. Made me wonder what the interim ADs brother Tim Marcum was doing before the USF WVU game . . . .
  19. Hey Nuke, Phil Hartman works for FKQ. Those are the guys that used to make up those signs we used to bring in to the games like the "Nutter Bites" one that made the paper. I interned there and they are pretty big USF supporters. Also good ties to some strong advertisers in the area.
  20. They had student recruitment team members with them and each had a name tag with thier name and school on it. Unfortunately I am not up on the high school kids, but there had to be about 50-75 of them there.
  21. I was thinking the same thing . . . . no I wasn't . . . S.O.B. it s contagious
  22. I've got a inaugural year football (with white side) autographed by almost all of the first year players.
