  1. I have to start posting single thoughts to pad the post total.
  2. **** Im 53rd and I havent been around for 2 years. Im inspired.
  3. I'll bet a large adult beverage that USF will nail a top 20 (nationwide) recruiit in the next two years.
  4. "HooDoo What? VooDoo Five? Not again!! Never again."
  5. I hope he has leared how to tackle in the last year. I believe his freshman year he proved himself to be the weak link in that less than USF quality defense. He was gone last year and the quality returned. He was too young and too small to be out there, I hope he has grown up.
  6. I am so sorry for your loss. Tell the misses that I send my best wishes and hope to see you at a game. I'll give you my lucky cowbell to get you started back on the Bull track. Matt
  7. To quote Young Guns: They made him famous: Drew Hixon He looks much better there in the cap and gown. Thanks for asking.
  8. If we win by one and we have the opportunity to get Grothe some experience I will consider it a great game.
  9. You are right it can cut both ways and there is no way to know up front which way it will go. The rule I wish they would change is the automatic clock stoppage after a first down during the last 2 minutes of each half. That is an unfair advantage to the offense. It can ruin a game. (ie: ND vs USC)
  10. I understand what he is saying. In the short term you can get ahead of a superior team with a turnover or big play and hold on to win. If the game was played indefinately the stronger team would always catch up and win. Luck and emotion run out and talent and physicality win.
  11. God Bless you E.T. I think you really mean that and that gives me hope.
  12. Ok, makes sense. I will use that same post in 10 years and you can use the 20 year Cap Gun.
  13. A few things that irritate me, by an irritating person: Tailgating restrictions make it more of a theater experience as opposed to a college football atmosphere. Come pay too much for 2 hours of entertainment, be quiet, buy our overpriced beverages and popcorn and then please exit the stadium rapidly. College football is about community. Tailgating with family and friends should be an all day event. There are only 6 Saturdays a year, why limit it to 18 hours of tailgating a year? (about 30 hours a year including gametime) At that price (donation, tickets, parking ect) you deserve 8-10 hours per game. Fans sit on thier hands through the entire game. Jaded. I would like to see students dispersed through the crowd to inject a little life. The middle seats, you know the best ones with the highest $$$ sit empty. It cuts the heart out of the crowd, seperated instead on one cohesive crowd. Its disgusting. Id really like teh students, you know the reason that the school is there to have those seats. TSA commandos should get Saturdays off. They squash any pockets of fun that erupt. Soon they wil require that we wear our best tennis whites and drink tea quietly during "matches." HERD OF THUNDER. Step up please. I know its difficult to do considering the administrations refusal to step up and help you, but you have the opportunity to set the stage.
  14. Not to me. The real question is how many actual season ticket holders are there. About 6K? I'd say that something is wrong with USF sales approach.
  15. Do you really think we will win the conference? I voted . . . . for West Virginia.
  16. I am 100% against abusing fans and all for tearing down the goal post when the moment comes (Bigger win than USF has ever had) but I don't think they are sending mixed messages. Its like airbags just because you have them in your car doesn't mean you want to have an accident.
  17. ****. sbien you ok? You seem a bit on edge today. Hope everything is ok.
  18. I think USF has OVERACHIEVED. In I-AA USF over achieved in every sense. It was explosive and exciting on almost every level on the field. Don't kid yourself, it was easy too. The recruits that were looking for a place to play were Florida kids with few options. Left off I-A recruiting lists givin a place to play in front of their families, it was an easy sell. Now I believe USF has overachieved again, but not in all areas. The marketing and growth of USFs athletic programs foundation has been lacking. I think it was all a product of a "wait until" attitude (we are I-A, we are in a Conference, when we are a BCS school) but now there are no more "wait untils" and they have gotten great leadership and will close the gap between what happens on the field and what happens in the offices. On the field USF is stil overachieving kinda. A team that only plays well a third of a game (great defense) should not win as many games as they do. Offense and special teams both are still stuck in I-AA. I am hopeful that changes this year.
  19. I think I remember him trying to go back to Grambling and the Greedzers denied him. They are going to enforce his contract and even though I still love him I don't think he is what is needed at USF.
