    I agree LOB, it could be a blessing in disguise as far as on the field play goes. FSU has a stable of QB's and will be fine. Hopefully this kid gets his head straight and gets back in a uniform, or at least gets his diploma.

    I am interested to see how Verpaele makes the transition to SS from FS. I think this position suits his size (or lack thereof) and he could become more of a factor on Defense. Although listing him as a defensive pre-season all-star is a bit pre-mature. All in all it looks like a very good summary.

    In the end Barry Bonds will have a legacy much like Ty Cobb did. He will be remembered as a great baseball player but more so for being an a$$hole. So it doesnt matter how many homeruns he hits he will never be remembered in the same company as great men like Aaron and Ruth.

    As far as the Bonds hating Boston thing, I have mentioned that on this board before. He hates Boston because they were the last major league team to integrate and sign black ball players.     Well he had the greatest single season for a USF RB, and if he stays healthy this year he can break just about every school record for the running game, and thats in just 2 seasons here. So I would say yes LOB he is the greatest USF RB ever.

    Most of us have known Bonds as a racist for a long time, but for some reason Steve just doesnt get it. People dont hate him because he is chasing Babe Ruth, they hate him because he is an a$$hole.

    dw4uconn, I dont disrespect UCONN by making that prediction. I actually feel we are pretty evenly matched, but you will have an advantage with the weather, hopefully we can overcome that. I am not saying that UCONN is a guranteed win by and means, I am just saying it is a winnable game. If we played each other 10 times the series would probably be 5-5. I just hope that we take the early lead.

    Doesnt ND try to schedule a florida team to play regularly to help with recruiting in the talent rich state? I would not be surprised if they did come to Ray Jay to play. While it is true that they are going to start playing 7 home games a year they still have to play 5 on the road. And if you were the recruiting coordinator for ND and had to decide where you wanted to play on the road, Conneticut (UCONN) New Jersey (Rutgers) or Florida (USF) who would you pick? Just for the recruiting aspects of it alone I think we stand a decent chance of them coming to Tampa.

    My prediction is 5 with wins coming against... FAMU UCF Rutgers Cincinatti UCONN I am hoping for more but will not be disappointed with an outcome like this as long as there is progress made from last season and we play well against the big programs on our schedule.
