This is a great point, if we had utilized this concept last year it is possible we could have been in a lot more games up until the end. I am not saying that we would have won but the less the opposition has the ball the less chance they have to score. So you keep the game close late and give yourself a chance to win. Everyone remembers 2003, we won a handful of games by keeping it close and pulling it out in the end. This also gives the Defense a much needed rest, granted the D was young last year and we had some substantial injuries which in large part was responsible for thier less than stellar play, however when you go 3 and out, then give up a big play allowing a TD, then the D is right back on the field, and then another 3 and out, and so on and so on, by the end of the the Defense is exhausted. I really hope we go back to the huddle this season. I see more pro's than con's with the huddle.

Wow with all of these transfers 2006 is already shaping up to be our best incoming class. I cannot wait until september 3rd, but now I am already itching for 2006 to get here as well. The future is looking bright.

Wow, to think that he had the kind of season he did last year without ever playing spring ball or working out in the off-season! God I hope we get at the very least, respectable play at QB to take some pressure off of Hall and he could potentially have a huge year. And if that happens then we will se just how much of an expert "Vanilla" really is when Andre is taken in the first round of the draft right behind Reggie Bush and Ginn Jr.

I dont think we will have a clear cut starter until the Louisville game. Leavitt has already said all 3 will play at Penn State, and I would assume the same would go for FAMU and UCF, since competition will be significantly easier in comparison to Penn State, so CJL will have more of an opportunity to evaluate all 3 QB's before deciding on the starter for Louisville. For Andre's sake I hope whoever starts plays well enough to at least keep some pressure off of him at the very least.

I dont like the fact we are keeping Andre Hall on the Kick Return team. I think we have enough talent there where we dont need to risk any injury to Andre. He will get plenty of face time at RB.

As far as the cowbell issue, I was always under the impression that, that was a C-USA rule, not a Ray Jay rule. So it is possible that they will be allowed, unless restricted by the Big East rules and regs. And as for Andre Hall...how the hell can they leave him off the tickets? Unreal! Other than that they look great.

Thats great news to hear about Verpaele. I thought he played very respectable as a freshman last season, especially towards the end of the year. Its great to hear how fast he is improving.

I dont see where Fox Sports talks about us possibly upsetting them, it seems to say quite the opposite in fact. And why do they have Verpaele ranked as the 4th best player on the team, even ranking him ahead of Tim Jones and Terrance Royal, am I missing something...is he really that good?

Yeah, thier D is top 10 possibly even top 5 in the country well above average. It will be very difficult to pull out a win. We are going to have to really rely on special teams and field position to control this game. If we can get lucky and return a kick or punt for a TD early, or grab a lucky fumble recovery or pick we may have a chance.

I hope they have larger sizes, I dont know if it is like this in Tampa, but I have found it impossible to find any bulls items in XL and XXL sizes. Even the L seems smaller than most regular L tee's. I will certainly have to check it out though.

Yeah, and CJL's biggest bargaining chip is the new athletic facility (no longer in trailers) and being in a BCS conference. This coming season will be the first season we could throw both of those facts at possible recruits. I think starting with this upcoming years recruiting class we will start seeing more top recruits looking at us, even if we got say 4-7. But as many have said we are one cinderella seaon away from landing a top 20 recruiting class. I dont know if it will happen this year, although we do have a lot of question marks on the team (ie Carlton Hill, Cedric Hill, Grothe, Denson, Coleman, Momprimier, Amarri Jackson just to name a few) that if they perform well it can propel this team much higher than any expected. And if that happens and we have one of those cinderella seasons this year could be the year we land that big class. It will be very tough with our schedule.
