  1. Anyway, to answer the original question "When will we know who starts at PSU" My guess would be the day of the game. Even if CJL knew right now who he was going to start I dont think he would want to give PSU any advantage by letting them know so they can prepare.
  2. Speaking of the return game Bien, was it ever confirmed that Ismael Grant qualified and will be eligable to play come September?
  3. WWW, I only brought the subject up because he is supposed to make his decision this week, so I thought it was relevant. After he makes he decision THEN we will move on.
  4. I remember it being said that he was supposed to announce his decision at the end of July, but I don't remember him dropping USF from his list of possible destinations...This article doesnt even mention us as a candidate for his transfer...are we still in the running? Or did this article just snub us? http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/colleges/12215055.htm
  5. Hopefully us being in the Big East now will keep more of these quality prospects stay in Florida and sign with us.
  6. Are they open to the public or media? Just wondering if we will get some idea on the QB situation or how Denson/Hill/Grothe are doing at the position, or will we no nothing on that front until Penn State?
  7. Wow, forgot about him...there are so many "X-Factor's" this season (both Hill's, Grothe, Denson, Jackson, Coleman, Mompremier, Grant) that could potentially turn this into a cinderella season that many arent expecting.
  8. No Kidding and he stole my idea to use as a story. Very Original.
  9. Why doesnt someone simulate the 2005 season to see how we are projected to play? It only takes a few minutes to simulate a season. Then you could post our win loss record and the scores, and any misc' info, such as All-Americans, Awards or whatever. I know for the most part EA is fairly accurate with thier rating of teams. I remember doing this last season on my own and it was extremely accurate when comparing what my simulation was like in comparison to the actual results. We could even make it an annual tradition, simulate the season at the beginning of the year and compare how accurate EA Sports is at the end of the year. Or you could even evaluate the accuracy on a week by week basis throughout the season. What do ya'll think? Is there any interest. I would do it on my own, but I probably won't be purchasing the game for another week or two.
  10. Great news about Coleman and Grant. They could make an immediate impact at LB and the return game, respectively. As for the starting Defensive and Offensive lineman, I hope they were seriously conditioning themselves this offseason, cause it looks like they wont be getting much relief this season.
  11. I care too, that is one less Florida prospect that Miami can give a scholarship too next season, which in turn is good for us.
  12. Really the only way you give up 400 rushing yards on the ground to a team is if they are running up the score. In most situations if a team is dominating that much at some point they will slow down and try chewing up the clock as opposed to trying to run the ball down your throat. So even if we are playing horribly in this game I dont see them getting 400 yards on the ground.
  13. Rather than using Hill as we did Fisher, substiting him for the QB when we want to run the option, why don't we have him line up with Hall in a 2 back set. Picture that, you have the QB wheather it be Denson, Grothe, PJ or whomever under center, and then you have both Hill and Hall lined up in the 2 back set. You could run one hell of an option. You could also run half back options with Hill because he has the ability to throw the ball. Or on occassion you could run the direct pitch to him. And he seems big enough and physical enough where he could either carry the ball on occassion or block and provide protection to the QB as the position requires. This would really throw defenses off balance because you would have a 3 headed monster in the offensive backfield. They will never know what to expect, unlike when you simply substitute the QB for Hill under center as we did with Fisher. After awhile they will catch on and this will become ineffective if we run it too often. And in the scenario I laid out, I think this will make Hill happy as well. He wants playing time immediately, but he also wants a shot at QB. And as I mentioned with him lining up in the 2 back set you will have the option for Hill to pass the ball several times a game so it will be a great opportunity for him to get his feet wet and learn the offense.
  14. I hope Leavitt is not serious about Julimiste being the starter. I know Denson was injured for the Spring game but after seeing the way PJ played to hear CJL saying no one has beaten him out yet is very discouraging. Denson can't be that far behind PJ.
  15. Why don't you click on "MikeG's Images" at the top of the page, he may have some pics. Although you may want to get his permission to use any of his pics.
  16. Agreed, I think the way most look at it as a bonus if he signs with us now. Not that it is imperitive that he signs with us as was the case when he was being recruited. As for Spires being declared ineligable, thats too bad but at least we are stocked at the LB position. Its nice to see he wants to come back to USF in 2 years. Also, as far as I know this is the first confirmed recruit from this years class declared ineligable. And the only confirmed recruits declared eligable are Carlton Hill and Matt Grothe. I know Ismael Grant was not supposed to qualify, but there was never any confirmation on that as far as I can remember. Does anyone know of a list somewhere of the prospects that met eligability requirements?
  17. Sorry Professor I thought this was a message board not High School English. I would also like to take the time to apologize to all of the other spelling nazi's on the board, I know this is a serious issue plagues you all, I hope you can forgive me.
  18. Steve there is no jury on this board, you don't have to play the race card. Why can't I dislike someone just because he is just an @sshole?
  19. I got on tv once with a dyslexia 6:13 sign, true story.
  20. If they have such a great alumni that is willing to travel in mass to away games, why doesnt this "great alumni" make donations to the university in a time of need like this as alumni from nearly every other college does.
