    Anyone have any idea how soon we will hear if Grant is academically eligable? I remember hearing he may have problems. Seems to me he could be an immediate impact player on Special teams. Also any other news on recruiting eligability, he is the only name I remember coming up on that front.

    I am shocked, NOT! When will these kids learn. The chances of you starting on a team that lands 2 top 10 QB recruits every single year are next to zero. Especially when one of those QB recruits is a coaches son.

    He was one of my favorite players as a kid, i'm disappointed but not shocked. I can still remember him sliding into 1st base with a big 'ol wad of chew in his mouth.

    Hopefully "the skies open up" for our game come September. That will make it more of a ground game and would probably improve our chances. Hoping Hall has a big game. We are going to need it.

    AD was differant because he ran into problems with NCAA eligability. He was planning on enrolling here and hoping to sit out a year and play for us, but he was told that the NCAA would have to make a determination as to wheather or not he was eligible to compete in collegiate sports. Suddenly the talks of enrolling here stopped and he joins the Arena league. Someone must have told him the NCAA would not side with him. Otherwise I think he would have been a Bull as well. What a difference a year makes. Last year we had one of the worst QB situations in 1A, now we are talking about turning one of the best Florida QB prospects in years. These are the kind of "problems" I can deal with ;D

    I am surprised Cadillac Williams was available at #5. I think it is a good pick-up. I still would have liked to have seen then grab Mike Williams. Overall I think the Bucs had a good draft.

    No, steve. You need to look at his numbers again, I have commented on this in the past but you never seem to respond when presented with actual facts. Bond's numbers were amazingly average until the seasons where he was suspected of using steroids, then just like magic his numbers skyrocket. Quite a coincidence huh?     I saw tony gwynn in my lifetime, he is probably the best hitter I have seen in person. But I have also seen plenty of footage of Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Mantle, Dimaggio, and that is just to name a few. Bonds is far from the best hitter in baseball. Even with steroids.

    Velcro is right smazza, Schaeffer won the starting job, but lost it to Ainge after an injury in the first few weeks of the season.

    I think with the #5 pick they have a great chance at picking up Mike Williams, unless San Fran trades down and shakes things up. But if they Bucs are thinking QB with that pic they are nuts.
