  1. You want to be the best, you must beat the best. As any single gay man would say... bring on them cocks.
  2. The Eng on my second submarine is actually an astronaut now. He was Lieutenant Commander Bowen. He flies to space again in two or three weeks. Pretty cool IMO to think a normal dude on my sub is now chilling in space.
  3. Since we're talking about girlfriends, I've come to know Smazza personally over the last 20 years. FWIW, Steve changes out girlfriends about as frequently as we change out football coaches. His girlfriends have all had some upside throughout the years when he brings them into his den... however if we base our most recent coaching hire on the quality of Smazza's current girlfriend (and remember Steve is in his 60's), the f'en sky is the limit with Golesh.
  4. Not a chance Jim gives anyone a courtesy start. He was all business on the field... think Emperor Palpatine.
  5. Let's give USF upper management some credit. They are a little slow at cultivating things - but at least they are trying. I remember some very insane fan college basketball experiences back in 2001/2002. I would love for every student to experience those moments... if anything, to cultivate more accidental Green and Gold babies from the experience that helps build a generation of kids growing up wanting to be Bulls.
  6. Beard wins everywhere he goes. Make a play for him. Even his fiancée said nothing went down. Once again, the liberal media shames someone prior to getting all of the facts. Now a high profile coach (that is a winner) is jobless and USF won't touch him with a 10' pole because they buy all the media dogshit vice taking risks. On a different note, if the Rays are smart, they'll make a play on Trevor Bauer. He falls within their budget parameters this season and is no where near the trouble that the Rays have kept on their roster previously (see Elijah Dukes for instance).
  7. Fired based on allegations. This is the time to be second chance U. We can continue to mire ourselves in mediocrity or we can give Beard a landing spot and turn our basketball program around. What say ya Michael Kelly...
  8. A day early... however when you have four kids, getting on the computer rarely happens on Christmas Day. On a different note, if you're wondering how Santa votes, he wears Red for a reason (that's for you Dave).
  9. And truly, that's how it should be. We can think we are both bat**** crazy with respect to our political and world views, however we can still respect each other. I'm still attempting to figure out how such a respectable YOUNG conservative individual such as myself came from two liberal parents? Makes no sense to me... especially considering the only thing that spurs my dad's interest in conversation are different types of guns and ammo.
  10. Way to move the goal posts in the conversation. Probably a necessary move...
  11. I can't remember any game where Flowers had the ball in his hands for the last series of the game (with more than 30 seconds on the clock) where he didn't lead us down the field to a W in his last two years at USF. Hence, the Wilcox fumble in my opinion cost Q an opportunity to continue his magic on the field. Ball control is everything - it's preached everyday in practice - especially on game winning/last minute drives. That fumble was brutal - and his to own forever.
  12. I still haven't gotten over the fumble versus UCF. That fumble corresponded with our program's fall. Tell your son the words are warranted - and I don't care for the Bucs as a fringe Cowboys fan (the NFL doesn't get my support like it used to as a kid).
  13. Let’s be honest, we’re burning our dollars over there financing the embezzlement of billions of dollars when we could be helping our own people in the US. This administration saw an opportunity to fill their coffers with cash - and they’re exploiting the Ukrainian war to make it happen. I can appreciate Skingraft’s sentiment that he’s helping the people - not the Ukrainian government. The government is as crooked as a question mark. Stay safe Skingraft. Merry Christmas.
  14. Wolff got beat out by two underclassmen TE's at Maryland that got plenty of action (both were sophomores this season that got the majority of the game action for Maryland). Granted we were pretty terrible record wise, hopefully though he can be plugged into the system and produce results here as Golesh is known for his TE production.
  15. His son looked great against subpar competition. Now the playing time will definitely help with his confidence level going to CU, however I don't see him tearing up Pac-12 defenses like he did the porous SWAC defenses.
  16. Let me strike the one comment. I literally confused Brooklyn in NY with Brooklyn in Ohio. Rutgers ain't poaching him.
  17. You saw what I saw as well. I watched the eight minute version of the speech. The kid removing the hat struck a chord with me. He instantly understood the premise and was buying in to what Deion was preaching. The other kids - honestly, most with hats on were probably not intelligent enough to absorb what Deion was stating. It reminded me of Andre Waters taking my hat from me and never giving it back in 2000 when I wore it inside of a cafeteria after he had said previously to the team, "no hats inside". I was pissed (not much of a hairline then). I understood it. Still didn't make me happy. Deion kept it honest with the kids. Yes, some will leave. They're leaving everywhere though - nature of the beast. He didn't sugarcoat what he's bringing to the table. Can he coach? I bet he knows X's and O's better than anyone on this message board (from him watching years of film at a level much higher than we can ever understand). He literally shut down half the field when he played even though he rarely hit someone - he shied away from contact unlike Sean Taylor (different position - I get it). However no one wanted to throw on peak Deion. The question becomes - does Deion surround himself with some good chiefs? He's got a lot of money to buy the assistant pool - probably the smartest thing he did when he negotiated his contract (which tells me he's not naïve). He's not going to out-talent everyone next season in the Pac-12. I'd be willing to say we have an easier path to a playoff berth when it really matters (2024). Next year is a throw away year. Maybe we win the conference and get a NYE bowl (assuming everything goes well for us - not unrealistic if we use the portal and Golesh's system goes as planned). In reality, I care about 2024. That's when the weakening of our conference becomes our advantage and we throw years of mismanagement by our administration back at UCF as we back our way into the playoffs year in and year out. Let's be honest - Gus is not going to win in the Big 12 with his current roster. They are going to be meddling around like WVU. That's the true reality. Will Golesh stick around? He's got no real ties like some of us do. Think about it. He's Russian. He wasn't born into a Notre Dame household, an Alabama household, an OSU household, a UM household. Hell, the best university around him was Rutgers. I fear they could potentially poach him one day if anyone comes at him first. Maybe he would want to go to OSU long term - but even that would be a long stretch in three years. If his family falls in love in Tampa, he could be here like Coach E (assuming he comes in and starts winning and doesn't want to leave). Our area is addictive. We lost Tags to Oregon after two excellent seasons - Golesh isn't foolish. He'll weigh everything out - and our deep pocket alumnus are going to have to step it up in a few years if they want to keep him.
  18. We're screwed if he can't. It's going to be a track meet on our offense. We better have a defense that can suck it up vice just sucking.
  19. It won't be Jeff Scott 2.0. I'll place a gentlemen's bet on it.
  20. Comments from Vols OC Alex Golesh should have Tennessee fans fired up for the rest of season A to Z Sports is your place for NFL news, opinion, analysis and reaction. Covering 13 of the NFL's 32 teams and more. Tennessee Vols Intellect wise, he might be our most intelligent coach to run our football program.
  21. Alex Golesh details play-calling preparations ahead of gamedays Tennessee goes fast — that takes a lot of planning. That article was from 2021... the third week of September. Tell me how UT's offense turned out last year... and now this year.
  22. A Golesh offense will have thrown up two TD's by the time you finish your dump. Remember this quick comment next season.
  23. I've been on the phone with a UT guy for the last 20 minutes. He knew they were going to lose Golesh, however he was hoping it would be next year. I personally didn't have him on my radar, however after reading up on him, Kelly might have saved his job. This guy is the anti-Christ of Charlie Strong. We're going to lose some guys to the portal still - so be it. What matters is the offense will routinely throw up big numbers. He scored 50 against 'Bama, 40 against LSU, 38 against UF, 44 against UK, and 56 against Vandy with their backup QB starting for the first time (Hooker was lost for the season against South Carolina the week before). In their two losses (USC and UGA), they scored 38 and 13. Still, UT had the #1 offense in the nation this season. Two years ago prior to becoming their OC, they were ranked outside of the top 100. That's drastic improvement - and they saw it immediately. He's not Deion Sanders - I get it. However the guy has been winning everywhere he's gone. Now he's getting a chance to run the show in Tampa. It won't be his final landing spot - he probably didn't dream about coaching USF like Leavitt - however if it's a stepping stone job, it means he's winning games.
