  1. Stan's players played like dogs under him and he didn't know how to coach X's and O's that well. People in the know, knew that.
  2. I'm there + 3 and coming from Jax.. Putting son on the bus from Tampa as well. BTW....$110 is not a bad price at all for those complaining. That also includes the buffet with the alumni association which costs $45. So being fed and trip there and back is a great deal.
  3. UCONN is strong against the run and is playing Chase Litton. UCONN wins the game in St. Pete.
  4. Yes, for pay sites usf.rivals.com is the place to be. It's good to bounce both from Brad's site and Rivals and you get all the USF info you need.
  5. Playing either Marshall (with Chase Litton) or La Tech would inspire the fan base.
  6. Seems like there is less than 20 or so tickets left on Stub Hub. This is a sign that attendance could be quite good tonight. For those walking up, I would get there an hour early. Ticket windows will be busy. Bandwagon is in full effect and I love it. Should be a great atmosphere tonight.
  7. Unfortunately USF is again cracking down on the frats. So that is not helping numbers either. They are the ones that support and come in numbers.
  8. Thanks for sharing. Both teams played pretty hard vs each other. Great temperature check for our young Bulls. Hope FSU stomps BC to make it even more legit. I feel this USF team has at least mid-level ACC talent.
  9. Great to hear....we are trying to build this group up. Friends and family welcome. We will even have a football pool (squares game) to keep things interesting at the end of each quarter.
  10. Jacksonville Alumni hosting a watch party Saturday for the Maryland game at Miller's Ale House (corner of Beach and Hodges) should anyone live in this area.
  11. Wondering if Corey Martinez's dad will visit post game here. As most remember, he was considering USF a bit I think. Wondering what his son had to say about out D-line? What if Calloway was also added to that mix?
  12. Someone posted in another thread, but this one deserves to have it's own. I spoke with the owner of Creative Sports Group. They have a bus leaving campus at 6am and returning right after the game. $95 for the trip (includes donuts, beer, soda, etc). Not bad for any last minute folks that want to take in the game. Phone: (813) 875-4155 (hit ext 0).
  13. I bought extras as a season ticket holder and have good donor points, so these should be decent. Face value $60. Obviously prefer these go to USF fans.
  14. Yes, it irks me but I hear it less these days. I also like to throw out there that there are huge employment advantages to going to a school in a metropolitan area. More jobs as a student, more diverse things to do (sporting events, concerts, nightlife), and also most importantly.....I had a real job before I graduated because of valuable internships/co-ops that USF is tied to. Use this ammunition for any folks that talk down to USF: USF students just had the highest MCAT scores (pre-med exam) of any Florida school. It shows that USF is preparing students well at the highest level of academics. Interesting thing is this: I can't think of any of my USF friends/fraternity brother that are NOT doing well right now as we are in our mid-40's.
  15. Club Access is very nice to have. Mostly for halftimes and hot games. However, it's also nice to take new people who have never been to a Bulls game before through there first. For example, enter on the side of the stadiums (rather than the endzones) and take the ride up the escalator. It's a very first class feel when you walk into the stadium from there. So again, that is good for 1st time people who have NOT been to a Bulls game before.
  16. Does anyone know if practice will be open to the public tomorrow? If so, what is the time of the practice?
  17. Since we are talking golf, for anyone interested I launched a new company called LeaderBoardKing.com. It does live scoring from your smart phone. Runs leagues, events, keeps individual stats, games vs others. I have all the courses in the country downloaded. Takes very little battery on the phone. If anyone wants to try it out, just PM me and I'll get you hooked up for free. I plan on having courses use it to post their course leaderboards in the clubhouse, etc. A good example to follow is a live leaderboard for a afternoon work league in Jacksonville: Crowley.leaderboardking.com. You will see live scores flowing from about 4pm-7pm.
  18. His whole back 9 will be live on the golf channel. He is only 1 shot back of the #1 golfer from SMU. Turn on asap. Meanwhile, USF clinging to the final 8th spot to move into the match play portion tomorrow. BTW....Correa is a freshman!
  19. I also think there is national coverage on the Golf Channel for this event, so could be getting some good national exposure.
  20. The Jax USF Alumni are meeting at the game tomorrow at JU. Come on out if you are within an hour drive or so.
  21. School is very nice and reminds me a lot of USF in the growing stages. They have a real good coach in Matt Driscoll. They are a Florida Gulf Coast in the making and only lose 1 guy. They did choke in that Robert Morris game though.
  22. Egbunu doesn't have the basketball IQ needed. Some of this is not coachable even....you either have it or you don't. He will be a 7.5ppg, 6 reb, 1.5 blk guy for them. They have another super athletic forward too that is the same way. Looks good but doesn't win you games.
  23. Looks they had a nice finish again. They beat 5 ranked teams, including #1 Illinois and #5 Georgia Tech.
  24. Talk on Jax sports radio this morning was that UF may get worse before it starts getting better. May be near the bottom of the SEC again this year. That would suck to go 'bigtime' at UF and then be apart of their misery until they can right the ship.
