  1. For those of you who have not had the chance to meet Brad, aka Bulliever, I am meeting him up at the Bull Ring tonight to watch the Coaches Show and the WVU / UL game. Come by and say hi. I will be wearing my Bullbackers polo.
  2. This is funny. For once, smazza comes on here with a positive thread and everyone else disagrees with him.
  3. Hopefully Alvarado will alleviate those fears. As for Rod Smith, I can't help you there.
  4. First game of season versus scary game of season. I think had we beaten cincy, this board would be alive with stomping Pitt and SU and how the BE better watch out for us. However, since we did not, people are a little worried about the rest of the schedule and don't want to come on here and bad mouth the team before a huge game. Just my take. See thread at top of board Steve. He and his wife had a baby.
  5. One of our most important games, yes. I still feel like last year's UCONN game was our most important game because that would have given us a shot at the BE championship. And I agree that we need to win this one, not only for the 6 wins, but to be noticed in the BE. We are still on the radar as far as some conversations go, but this will put back in the thick of things in the BE and we can be done with this 2 game losing streak to Pitt. We owe them for embarrassing us in our house two years ago.
  6. I agree wholeheartedly and have stated this in other threads. We need to beat Pitt so they do not become that thorn in our side every year. I think everyone is scared of this game and does not want to talk about it and admit the ugly season this could be if we lose Saturday. I have said it before, and I will say it again. There are no doormats in this league. Uconn and SU struggle, but can beat just about anyone with a little more talent. SU will be just as tough as this week and then UL and WVU. Everyone is holding their breath.
  7. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. E.T.! Glad to hear everyone is doing well.
  8. but for those of you in the Pinellas/Hillsborough/Manatee area, the Pinellas County Alumni Chapter will be hosting a homecoming social tonight at USF St. Petersburg. We will be starting at 6 PM and will provide appetizers and beverages will be provided including ol' style root beer/coke floats. Come by and mingle with alumni and future alumni (students) for a great night by the water. Again, sorry for the last minute post.
  9. Ok folks, you are always talking about wanting more USF merchandise. Here it is. Craig is really trying to put out the products you all want. He has merchandise that is value-priced and merchandise that is high quality and priced accordingly. Just remember, it is college merchandise so there are royalties involved. Not all of it can be priced to fit your budget. So save up for the high quality stuff and buy the hats and t-shirts with your paychecks.
  10. I saw the Grothe jerseys and some overseas company really screwed them up. Craig was PISSED!
  11. 1. Who has and how many season tickets do you have to MBB or WBB? I am going to buy WBB tix this year. 2. If you are a local and dont have MBB season tix, why not? My work schedule and the prices right now prohibit me from buying any and getting any return on my investment. 3. Anyone have Basketball season tix but not football? no, 2 football tix
  12. Did you survive the bye week? Did you take the wife out? Did you stay sober? Inquiring minds want to know. ;D
  13. I know these two teams are tough but UL came in here ranked 9th last year and we spanked them.  I think we match up well against the Cards and even though we play them at Papa John's this year, I still think we can beat them.  WVU is another story.
  14. I would love to see WVU win in another OT thriller like last year. I also believe they have a better chance at winning a NC.
  15. Give Ponton the ball, let him get in a rythym and we will win this game.
  16. I grew up watching the Bucs and Gators since those were the teams my dad watched.  I went to a lot of Bucs games since my dad had tickets and have followed them my whole life (as long as I can remember).  Went to the their first home play off game against Philly and followed them to San Diego for the Super Bowl. I followed the Gators until the Bulls came into existence.  Although I graduated from USF, I was never a big basketball fan, just football and baseball. I played both from 1979-1987 when I graduated HS. Of course, those that know me, I am an avid Bulls fan now and bleed nothing but Green and Gold. What more could you ask for than a college team in your own back yard. I could care less about the Gators now. I have never been a "student" of the game but more of a fan.  I love football season and can talk with most people but will never profess to know as much as some of you.  That's what makes this board so great.  It is a great place to meet new Bulls fans and gain knowledge of the game. And yes Jim, I loved kill the carrier.  Lots of bumps and bruises but a great character builder. ÂÂ
  17. Why do you follow USF athletics (whichever USF sports that you follow)? I grew up, as did a lot of us Floridians, watching another universities football team. In fact, I went to another university before actually graduating from USF. I never really followed basketball so to me, USF was just for academics. When they got a football team, I fell in love with the school and now give my undying allegiance to USF. I am able to watch college football in my back yard. How much better can that get? As a fan, what's your source of enjoyment from USF athletics (what makes you happy)? Improvement. Winning obviously, but anytime I see any improvement, whether it be an upgrade to a facility or a team, that is what makes me happy. Do you take pleasure in dumping on USF athletics? Dumping, no. Venting, yes. What's your ultimate dream for USF athletics (or whichever USF sport(s) that you like)? My ultimate dream for USF athletics is for them (every USF team) to be talked about and how many National Championships they have won in the BE.
  18. Holy crap, this is way to technical for me. Just tell me which bowl to show up at and I will be there.
  19. my regular two plus daughter and son-in-law. I will also be working in the Bulls roast area in he Pinellas County Alumni tent. Come by and see me. I will be wearing my Alumni name tag "Gene Haines".
  20. Bowl game aside, I hope we can win this game so they don't become that team that we can't beat.
  21. Oh bullieve me!! I know!!! I heard all about his shinannigens! Shinannigens? What shinannigens? I just remember throwing lots of mojo out there.
  22. Every time they talk about tomorrow's game they show Grothe's picture/name. And it's great to see our school's name flash across the bottom of the screen for everyone to see as the Sunday Night Game.
