  1. This is not about "rights" and chess tournaments.  This is about being in a place where alumni pay money to sit in good seats.  They are there to support the program by buying season tickets and donating.  Mutt, you are not a small person and if someone paid money to see a game and can only see the back of your jersey, he can ask you to sit down.  He/she may not get the answer they like, but they can still ask.  If we tell all those people they should stay at home, then everyone bitches about the seats being empty.  Right now, USF is a casual atmosphere and a family outing.  Hopefully in years to come we will be loud and screaming and standing (if you want). I know it sucks but you both paid to be there, some people just like to cheer from the seats.  At least they are there supporting USF.  Doesn't always make them less of a fan. ÂÂ
  2. Louisville travels pretty well, at least to our games since there are lot of them in the area. We are still learning how to travel.
  3. Matt, you are way off topic and way out of line. I am glad I know where you stand.
  4. You will catch him in no time with those kind of posts Bullit. ;D
  5. GetAHobby, I know you had a bad experience at the last game, but we (the older alumni) are really excited about the football-student generation graduating and buying season tickets. The USF games will be the event of the weekend during football season in Tampa for years to come!

  7. Unfortunately, I was behind the 8 ball on this team. I casually followed them in the paper until it finally hit me that I had a college team here in my hometown in 1999. Although I graduated from USF, I was not your typical student and graduated from USF in 1997. I finally bought season tickets in 2000, the year after starting my business and have been a loyal fan ever since. ET, I don't even have a second team anymore. I still love to see UM lose, I love to watch UCF lose, and I don't care what happens to FSU or UF. I watched the inaugural game on tv but would give up my left nut to be there from the beginning with you guys.
  8. And they are all equally full of insight...not. ;D
  9. I totally agree. She has words with her pictures?
  10. Steve, there are people on here who defend you and say that you balance the board with your realistic view of the team/program. I do not agree with this view. Why couldn't you have said "he's right" or "good point." Why can't you agree once with the point of a thread then expound on that. No, you have to bring out the negative of a win. We won. Does it really matter for a 10 year old program, in a BCS conference, who has already been to a bowl game, how it wins? C'mon Steve, how about some positives. Grothe is a positive. 3 wins is a positive. USF having a football team is a positive. And before you say it, no, I do not accept mediocrity (sp?). However, I do believe Wollard and the Bulls Club are doing what they need to do in regards to scheduling and TV and raising money to keep this program on the rise.
  11. Brad, this thread should be sticky, I mean stickied to the top. ;D
  12. Jenn, thanks for giving USF love. It is great to see USF articles in SI campus. Keep it up!
  13. I asked the local Brighthouse and was told they working on NFL network and ESPNU and ESPN2 HD. This was over the summer. I switched to Direct TV.
  14. They have a nice big sign on Fowler also but they are behind the soon to be old Hollywood Video store. They are on the north side of Fowler.
  15. I know we are still a young program and when we beat a ranked opponent (only once so far, unless you count Bowling Green ranked in one poll but not the other) we want to rush the field. But like others have posted, it is only a #23 team and it is only Rutgers. Just remember, all the warnings have been posted so if you go on the field and something happens to you, your the dumbass, not anyone else.
  16. That's what I am talking about. Hopefully the couch potatoes who love college football and live in the area will take notice when we beat #23 ranked Rutgers and say "Hey, we got a pretty good team here in Tampa." Hopefully. But then again, they are couch potatoes.
  17. That's ok dabull, with our beloved Bulls we never know what to expect. But it's always fun to watch.
