  1. I prefer to think of it as being undefeated until we aren't.
  2. Thanks for sharing your cool Go Bulls moments from your trip, Mr. T. I used to love running into those rare USF people when I lived in Maryland. It made for nice little bonding moments. After being back in Tampa for a year, I have to stop myself from saying "Go Bulls!" to everybody I see wearing USF gear around town because there are way too many of those folks around here. I do not think USF is a commuter school anymore. I'm sort of surprised anyone still thinks that. When I drive past all the on campus housing and see all the new on campus restaurants and other facilities (we've got a Publix after all), the last thing I think of is commuter school (even compared to FSU's campus), but I guess everyone sees things how they see them. Anyone who attended USF before football can be forgiven if they WERE a {insert other school here} college football fan at the time. Coming to USF from Palm Beach County in the '80s meant I was a UM fan for football, but the second USF fielded a football team I stopped being a Hurricane fan. Hopefully, this season will bring in or bring back a lot of the casual USF alumni. We'll see soon...
  3. I am a Will Jones fan! Got to sit next to him at the kickoff luncheon this week. I learned quiet a bit about him and his story. He is a class act. I hope he has a great season coming off that injury.
  4. It was nice to briefly see you in person today. This event was awesome! I sat next to K-State transfer safety Will Jones #7 at table 23. He is a great young man, BTW. I will definitely attend future events.
  5. Speaking of preseason AP polls, USF is on this list (in the Others Receiving Votes). That Top 25 should be the new P1 conference. Oops, wrong thread... AP Poll All-Time Preseason Top 25 College Football Rankings Preseason College Football AP Poll All-Time Rankings: What schools got the...
  6. He is a great one! Can't wait to see how his teams do in a new conference.
  7. Hey, I saw somebody in that shirt at the game today. Must have been you @BDYZR. For those that missed it, the Rays came within 2 outs of a perfect game today. Needless to say, not many fans left early. It was great to see so many Bulls fans together at a sporting event. Gets me fired up for football to start!
  8. It could happen. After all, UF wouldn't be the best team USF has ever beaten. Either way, I'm loving the building hype!
  9. I drove by yesterday. It still has a bit of a construction zone vibe but looks like it will be very, very nice.
  10. This thread is so awesome. Plus, after reading the past few days I feel like I have an honorary law degree. Seriously, though, I am learning a lot and enjoying everyone's thoughts on this topic. Keep it rolling!
  11. I updated this cartoon in honor of all the exuberant positivity on TBP lately. No more spilled glass in the last frame (for now at least).
  12. If we defeat BYU then I fully expect the excitement to gear up for USF. The national perception, however, (whether it is true or not) will probably go like this, "Nice win for Jeff Scott and team. Maybe they actually have something going down there in Tampa, but obviously BYU was just overrated." My personal perception will be, "BYU will go undefeated the rest of the year, and USF will win the AAC and a big bowl game followed by an immediate invitation to both the B12 and ACC." Yeah, I always have on my green and gold goggles.
  13. After three whole days this thread ended up on page 2. Has the rumor well gone dry, or do we all just have realignment fatigue? Let's go with the old adage, "No news is good news."
  14. Yup. Fairweather fans are going to do what fairweather fans do in bad times. Real fans just wallow in the suck and hope for better days before we croak. I'm sure many of us here are holding out hope that our new QB is the real deal and leads USF to many fantastic victories this season, and those magical wins become the dominoes falling into newly opened doors to better days and joyous posts on TBP (including the final post on this thread when we get to the promised land).
  15. Was watching the ACC commissioner press conference on the ACC Network just now, and he definitely has a soft spot for the non (so-called) P5 schools. He mentioned that he left Notre Dame to work as AD at a non-P5 school and that he saw just as much enthusiasm in those athletes and believes they deserve to not be left behind by the changes happening in college sports today. He used a neighborhood analogy, and said something along the lines of all neighborhoods should be in the discussion (for participation in an expanded playoff, not breaking up D1 into sub-divisions, etc.), not just the "gated communities" (i.e. P5 or P whatever # it will be). Oh, and when someone asked him about saying 17 teams instead of 15, he corrected himself but also had a huge grin on his face (maybe he was just embarrassed, or maybe he knew he got caught spilling the beans...). None of this means USF is going to the ACC, of course, but a Bull can dream, right?
  16. @Bull Daly I love how you think. I've been reading your commentary on this thread and had to make sure I didn't have an alter ego posting while I wasn't aware of it. Seriously, though, I am genuinely feeling your takes and love the positivity! Go Bulls!!
  17. Welcome! Just a little friendly tip about TBP if the Bulls are not winning and sometimes even if they are winning (generally speaking)...
