  1. Got a "Go Bulls!" (with hand sign) from a Gator fan at the tailgate. They had a Gators tent and were all decked out in orange and blue. It was sort of surreal actually.
  2. Imagine how mad Bama will be if we pull of an upset. And if they don't blow us out then they will also be mad. And if they do blow us out they'll still be mad because they only beat a "nobody" directional school. All I know is, even though I'm 53 years old, I'm rushing the field if we win.
  3. Why not just keep the Army - Navy game like it is and not have it count as a conference game? In the unlikely event that either of those teams happen to ever be in contention for the conference championship and a playoff spot, then the Army -Navy game can either be an exhibition game or it could be postponed. I mean, they are changing every other tradition in college football after all...
  4. Art imitating life... https://youtu.be/fdrEH3AOvyw?si=QbEy-oRN8iuXm8KR
  5. During the WKU game last weekend the school was honoring the 50th anniversary of WKU's 1973 undefeated (regular season) football team. Many of the players (and at least one coach) from that 1973 team were staying at our hotel near campus. We chatted with a couple of them (awesome old guys by the way), and while having breakfast in the lobby, we overhead some of their tales from back in the day. They were D2 back then, but I could tell that it was probably one of the best times of their lives. I may or may not have seen a few tears in those tough guys' eyes as they were saying farewell to their old buddies and teammates Sunday morning. So, yes, history is very important, especially to those that made that history. On a side note, I bet 2057 (and 2047) will be a pretty cool 50th reunion for USF football.
  6. Stopped by the WKU bookstore and student union this afternoon. The stadium is directly across the street and looks like a pretty cool venue for college football. The WKU band was just finishing up practice on the field and were having some sort of pre-game day gathering on the lawn by the stadium. The WKU players were taking some on-field reps. Students were walking by going to and from classes I assume. I couldn't help but imagine what that kind of scene will look and feel like on game weekends when our stadium is complete. It all just felt so college-like. Hoping for a nice away team victory tomorrow to complete the picture.
  7. Dueling Grounds Bourbon tour with @SquishaBull @GoBulls98.
  8. Will be there with @SquishaBull and another long-time STM. We get there Friday and leave Sunday.
  9. Thus the term "fan" as in fanatic. Of course, fans can be fanatically negative and fanatically realistic as well as fanatically positive. (see TBP)
  10. It may not sway an invite decision, per se, but it shows that USF has the potential to compete at that level. Sort of a "get your foot in the door" type thing. Imagine if USF had never beaten those teams. If that were the case, I think even our most positive fans would have doubts about USF's sports viability in a "higher" conference. Thankfully, our (very short) history does include some really nice wins against big-brand teams, which I think (in a small way) will help with the perception of USF as an expansion candidate going forward. Hopefully, we'll find out one day soon...
  11. Verizon is apparently one potential partner. https://www.google.com/amp/s/cordcuttersnews.com/disney-verizon-are-reportedly-in-talks-about-an-espn-partnership/%3famp=1
  12. I'll be there with two other Bulls! Would love to meet you in person @Brad.
  13. I finally added that JAFFX2 person to my ignore list. It's a very small list, so congrats to him or her. I was getting zero value from their trollish posts.
  14. Where has @Bull Matrix been lately? We need some more of those good realignment vibes...
  15. It just happened to be my birthday today and we planned a visit from my son @MDBull20 so he could go to the game this year. We got there after the second inning (daughter had a basketball game), so I guess we lucked out on the traffic. Also, we parked in Lot 1 for free. Apparently, the parking attendants tend to leave after the first couple of innings. The crowd at the end was pumped up as you might expect. As a Bulls fan it was a nice feeling to be amongst happy home fans again.
  16. Had a great time at the Rays game with a couple thousand or so Bulls fans today. What a great ending too for the Rays. Got to say hey to @CousinRicky too. Anyone else at the game?
