I'm just saying that was one of those "what the heck" moments that he had during the past season. QF is the future of our football team, though and I have no doubt he will improve on his passing abilities and will lead us to more success
One of those situations that stung the most was during the bowl game. I believe it was a 4th down situation late in the game, Flowers scrambles, receiver was wide open but the ball was thrown waaay over his head. We then went on to lose the game.
I am in the Herd of Thunder and I thought it was a pretty cool gesture for athletics to send us all a ticket as well. I'm going to start collecting them every year
Buddy Hield at Oklahoma did the same thing and it worked wonders for him. His draft stock improved from mid round draft pick to probably 1st rounder in the course of a year
QF is his guy. If AW is as good as everyone says he is he'll probably get more reps than Steven Bench did last season but not enough to dethrone QF barring any injuries or no improvement over the offseason
Yeah they definitely were not as nice as last year giving us a decent at best LSU team. To put us against a nearly undefeated, ranked squad, in the UConn bracket, 2,000+ miles across the country, seems a little unfair for a 6th seed.
Even if we run the table, the four team playoff is unrealistic in our conference unless most of our opponents are ranked. The playoff committee puts a lot of emphasis on strength of schedule and wins against teams like UConn, SMU, UCF just won't cut it. I would rather we win the conference and play in a new years six bowl against a perennial contender.
With the talent we have returning I predict 10-2 with a loss to FSU and Temple or Cincy. But that's up to the players, and of course the coaches to put the guys in positions to win (looking at you, CWT from the Memphis game).
And lousy fan support comes from not winning football games for 5 years, and having a dumpster fire basketball program at the same time. When all the major sports are playing bad the fans will not want to come. UConn at least has a consistently successful basketball program to make up for their terrible football team.
We are about to become the only former Big East school in the American and we have no one to blame but Doug Woolard and maybe even Judy Genshaft, as much as I respect her.
You mean the same coach that caused them to miss out on the post season and lose scholarships for years to come due to numerous NCAA violations? Yeah, he's great right?
