  1. UCF isn't going to the Big 12. It's Cincy and BYU/Memphis. The Big 12 isn't interested in making islands so it most likely Cincy and Memphis to help West Virginia. It helps the FedEx is offering the Big 12 50 million to keep its current members from taking a pay cut till TV contract talks. Sit back and enjoy the show and of course our bowl game against BYU
  2. This is why we suck... CWT should be using Alabama or LSU as the model, not another crap team. Seriously. Counting down the days till his contract runs out. Strong words about a team that just beat you
  3. I really like to see what USF could do to UCLA, Ole Miss, or even Middle Tennessee State.Lose, lose and win most likely. Same results as Memphis this year. I don't see your point. Memphis gets a pretty soft AAC schedule this year missing UCF and ECU. Look at the last 6 opponents you play and then get back to me. OK. Memphis features wins @Cincy, MTSU, and @Temple along with close L's to UCLA and Mississippi. I certainly won't apologize for Memphis being 8-3 (6-1) I wonder how much fun your board was last year when you were 3 - 9? Were your fans patient or screaming for Fuentes' head? Nobody screaming for his head more than his recruiting. Some of our crazy ones believe Fuente should be landing top 50 classes. The dude knows how to win with whatever he got to work with. He doesn't have to overwhelm people with stars. He had cred with me after he was important to Andy Dalton's developement. He showing it with Lynch who was an unranked QB and many schools backed off of because of an injury to his knee.

We were picked 7th preseason. People assumed we were cupcake till they saw the UCLA game. If it makes you feel better we play both those teams next year.

  6. It has nothing to do with the play of Memphis recently I guess. Preseason ranking mean nothing. These boys came with a chip on their shoulder this season and were tired of losing
  7. Fuente had to work with a depleted roster of walkons and jucos. Taggart working with high star level players. He lacks ways to motivate them to play above their potential. Fuente came from TCU and knows how to get unranked and under the radar players play above their level. Also Memphis fired porter because our teams looked horrible and he always tried to compete in recruiting with SEC schools and swung and miss more than he was able to land. Fuente is a true talent evaluator and has stabilized a roster that only had 50 players and brought a top 50 offense and defense from being in the bottom of all college football. I wish him luck if he lands at a bigger school. Barry Odom should be his replacement since he is responsible for our high level defense.
  8. Do we look like we are ready? Seems you found a QB so I guess
  9. New flash, we are in 1st place and our coach knows what it takes to win at programs like Memphis. He did help TCU get to where they are.
  10. Looking forward to seeing you guys in Memphis next week
  11. Fuente said the offense isn't to his liking yet. I agree. He wants to go faster and have less drive killers. We aren't there yet. We still have a long way to go.
  12. Can't believe you couldn't carve UC's defense. We put 41 up on it Our coach hates our best QB so he starts the 2nd team QB. Doesn't he want to win?
  13. Can't believe you couldn't carve UC's defense. We put 41 up on it
  14. This is against Tulsa though. Good teams you have to stay even with
  15. Lynch has to be smarter when throwing against teams of Houston's level. Good bye week to work the kinks out and beatdown SMU
  16. That's without our #1 RB and a wide receiver taking the carries. Martin Ifedi hasn't played yet while he is still healing from a injury. He is our best defensive player and gets a lot of sacks. Can't wait to see what we look like at full health
  17. Ole Miss was bigger and faster . We came into the game allowing only 1 sack. Be fair in your evaluation if you are going to make one
  18. At this point I think Cincy and ECU are losses. But every other team left on our schedule has a lot of flaws. Tulsa? They're just a bad team, and we have shown we can beat a bad team, even if we eek it out. The downside is that they have a passing game. Can we get up and stop it? Secondary is not what it looked like last season. On the bright side, they can't stop anybody. So if we just play keep away and keep our defense fresh that's a winnable game. Houston? They're an average team right now. But they're consistent enough in every area. We will need to tackle well and control the clock while not letting Deontay Greenberry get loose again. SMU? I don't think I need to say anything. If we lose this game Taggart should lose his job and not be allowed back on the plane to Tampa. Memphis? Great defense, no question of it, but their offense is awful. We can win this game, but it will require us to put a lot of players in space and force them to match our speed. When we did that last year we moved the ball really well, but we didn't do it enough. UCF? Are you kidding me? It's UCF! Their flaw is that they are UCF! Time to get back on the winning track and not let them win another game against us for the next 20 years. Our offense isn't horrible. It was dynamic till last night. We came into Ole Miss averaging 35 ppg. We will not see any defenses of the caliber going further into our schedule. A lot of our guys got to emotionally involved in the game because most are either from Missippii or Memphis. The guys will return the favor in Memphis next year. I also think Fuente was holding back some of the playbook for Cincy as well. This team went toe to toe with a SEC West team who was top 10 at their place. We will be back to normal when we hit the American slate. You definitely appear more adept at offense than we do right now but let's not kid ourselves with this going "toe to toe with a SEC West team who was top 10 at their place." It wasn't Auburn or Alabama. It was Ole Miss who I have no clue how they are a top 10 team, other than the SEC jock hugging the media does ... and you were outgained in every facet of that game so I'm not sure the "toe-to-toe" assessment is very accurate. Are you just judging the ability of our team off 1 game? We were beat in every facet except special teams and turnovers. 7-3 going into the 4th with a fumble saving them. Once again there is no defense in the AAC that can do that to us like Ole Miss.
