I know. Mike Norvell is already proving he is a hell of a recruiter and we know he is a gifted offensive mind. If he comes close to the coaching ability of Fuente I be cool with that. He already dropped 3 recruits Fuente recruited for better targets. I am just glad we are getting kids with P5 offers now. Texas waited too long to offer Furgeson and Norvell sealed the deal. Having a QB like Riley is going to definitly help with the explosive play calling that is happening next year. Riley is like Chad Kelly

You realized Fuente was working with 50 scholarship players his first year. He got us back up to the max and we can be selective now in recruiting and Mike Norvell is picking up some quality players now. Memphis is paying Mike Norvell 1.8 million base in his first year with increases each year for 5 year. We also have the highest assistant coaches pool of pay in the entire AAC at 2.51 million. Memphis can spend money so there isn't a concern if we can keep up with what Houston or USF. FedEX helps as well

it has already been stated that Fuente has full support when it comes to his next raise. Money will not be an issue. We also will free up money with Pastner leaving after this year. Yes there is a school out there that wants Pastner(Big 12).

Brady Davis comes from a similar situation like Lynch. A lot of the P5 schools in Mississippi overlooked him. Fuente leaving isn't black and white and I can say that with authority from within the program. Even South Carolina's insider on 247 mentioned that it might be a hard pull with the backing FedEx and Fred Smith will give Fuente when negation a start. Fuente has actually dropped to their third choice now with Herman #1 and Smart #2

Not really worried about not winning next year because we will still win games. We will not approach this level of success till Davis has a year under his belt but we have a lot of talent on the offensive side returning and some speedy receivers redshirting or coming in this next class. He dialed the offense way way back tonight. Your defense was up in our backfield and you made him go real conservative. I was really baffled why he kept running it up the middle or sweeping it.

I don't like to quote yoda because I think he is full of it but he is telling the truth about some of the stuff that been repeated on our board since the summer. "UCF better in every way than Memphis. BUT Memphis has a benefactor ready to write checks. This crap has always been about $. Sucks for UCF."

That what they care about at this point and if the are getting a deal to add a team and still get the same amount of money they been getting then its not really hard. I am shocked at how this is playing out. Memphis has brandished this FedEx $$$ before and just got invited to a lousy AAC recently. Why is it so different all of the sudden? Why weren't they the 10th team when Big XII expanded originally? They penetrate SEC country, are a bigger market, and can bring $$$. ... and have been a football joke for 30 years. I don't know that this rumor is true. It's true and FedEx wants to sponsor the Big 12 Title game. They are using Memphis as a means to an end. Football is ahead of schedule and we are traditionally a post season basketball team. We got some powerful people behind the scenes working all angles. Blessing to be where we are located.
