  1. He looks like he's 13/14 years old lol, but with a last name like 'Cannon" he has to be destined to be a great kicker.
  2. So then let us be positive at this moment and save our disappointment for if and when it ACTUALLY happens. Why does it bother you that some prefer to have hope? I never understand that about this board. Thinking positively actually annoys people here. Nobody is trying to dwell on the negative. If you feel there is no chance for football then why bother come to this blog?
  3. App State - Wk 1 (kind of a high risk/low reward game) Western Kentucky/Arky State - Wk 2 If Alabama ends up playing BYU then that means the SEC is fair game for replacements too. If the ACC, Big Ten and Big 12 goes conference only then that frees up - Wk 1 - Ole Miss, Georgia W2 - Miss State, Auburn and LSU
  4. Im starting to believe you work for ESPN. I swear you always post or have the latest updates lol That also means that the SEC is available.
  5. Since we might have 2 canceled games this year I took a more realistic look at replacements based on other canceled games that same week. Its pretty slim pickings in terms of excitement, but decent teams. Plus since they have cancellations the same week as us, it would be the easiest to schedule the teams below. At this point, I dont care who we play, I just want a full season. If i missed any teams or any new teams pop up feel free to add to the list. Replacements for Texas - BYU Ball State Utah State Western Michigan NIU Hawaii Alabama * Kent State App State Bowling Green Replacement for Bethune - Liberty Hawaii NIU Western Kentucky ( a good revenge game) Colorado State Central Michigan Fresno State BYU Arkanas State Old Dominion
  6. As previously stated in another thread. Replacement teams - Any SEC team if they decided to play out of conference games Notre Dame Boise State San Diego State/Fresno State Air Force Utah State FIU
  7. Games I would like to Replace BCU and possibly Texas - Any SEC team if they decided to play out of conference games Notre Dame Boise State San Diego State Fresno State Air Force Utah State
  8. Let's rule out the ACC altogether. So far the SEC hasn't decided and. So we may be able to replace BCU with an SEC team or one of these teams below. Colorado St, WKU, BYU,
  9. I feel we lucked out with this QB. I'm excited about this year.
  10. Still 2 different things. lol I follow SK on twitter and he is still pro-USF and still interacts with the current players. My point is, this could benefit our IMG pipeline in a positive way. I just dont see SK as being bitter.
  11. Not "retained", he was not "fired" by this staff. CJS didnt retain anybody so it wasnt personal.
  12. Your boy has a new job and gets to stay in Tampa. It's good to have an ex-coach in that school. I'm sure it will have it's benefits. It's time for him to prove himself.
  13. If the SEC doesnt pull the same stunt, then we have some nice options to make up the Texas game.
  14. Some stories just don't need to be made to a movie. I remember I saw this movie called "Why do fools fall in love" about some motown singer named Frankie Lymon and was like, "they could have kept this man's life a secret." Buddy was a druggie and str8 douchbag. Until this day I hate that song b/c of the movie.
  15. https://newsroom.howard.edu/newsroom/static/11611/howard-university-restored-advanced-payment-method-department-education#:~:text=On June 27%2C 2019%2C Howard,Cash Monitoring 1 (HCM1).&text=Since April 2018%2C Howard University, permanent Director of Financial Aid. This was resolved a year later. Notice how they have Chad Bosman in that picture? I met Colin Powell and he was not even a speaker. The graduation had several celebrities.
  16. It's actually a pretty good school. Howard is the top dog when it comes to HBCUs, but more than competes with other Universities nationally. My sister graduated from Howard. They have a lot of high profile alumni. I even met Colin Powell at her graduation. Whether he goes to the league or not, it's still a pretty **** good school. He will be alright. (3-4) years at Howard is still a better draft pick than getting a kid straight from highschool. I think his pledge is more of a statement than getting out recruited.
  17. Sept. 5 at Texas W Sept12 Bethune-Cookman W Sept. 19 Nevada W Sept. 26 at Florida Atlantic L Oct. 3 at Cincinnati W Oct. 10 East Carolina W Oct. 17 at Temple W Oct. 23 Tulsa W Oct. 31 OPEN DATE Nov. 7 at Memphis L Nov. 14 at Houston W Nov. 21 Navy W Nov. 27 UCF W Yup......seems about right
  18. We have a great out of conference schedule these next 5 years. The QBs listed below is currently who we have to take us to the promise land. I know i always wear my green and gold goggles, but maaaan it would be nice to beat these teams below. Noah Johnson - 1 year McCloud/Fortin - 3 years left Marsh/Jordan - 4-5 years left 2020 09/05 - at Texas 09/12 - Bethune-Cookman 09/19 - Nevada 09/26 - at Florida Atlantic 2021 09/02 - at NC State 09/11 - Florida 09/18 - Florida A&M 09/24 - at BYU 2022 09/17 - at Florida 09/24 - at Louisville 10/22 - UMass 2023 09/02 - at WKU 09/16 - Alabama 09/23 - Florida A&M 2024 08/31 - Louisville 09/07 - at Alabama 09/14 - NC State 09/21 - WKU 2025 08/30 - Boise State 09/06 - at Florida 09/13 - at Miami (FL) 09/20 - San Jose State
  19. Pat White was Johnson's QB coach at Alcorn so he probably played a big role.
  20. I know the coaches will definitely want to play him as well or get his feet wet b/c our 2021 schedule is brutal.
  21. I like Kelly Joiner. His last year of high school football he Rushed for 1,006 yards and 17 touchdowns in only three games before he had a season ending injury. Last year he got his feet wet with 364 yards on 71 carries, 108 receiving yards on nine catches, for 472 all-purpose yards. This year he is my top pick for a player destined for a breakout year. I also like Thomas Nance, but he has more competition at the position than Joiner.
  22. First, I want to state that Thomas Nance will kick ass this year at TE! At running back, we are great. I would have liked for us to get a "bruiserback", but we have speed. My 2 of my 3 favorite transfers are Noah Johnson and Demontrey Jacobs. If Jacobs is granted eligibility then our offensive line will be set for the year when added to Jennings, Harris, and Cecil. Plus we have 2 other offensive lineman transfers. I'm good with who we have at wide receiver and still want to shine a light on Sean Atkins. There is a lot of under utilized talent that just needs a decent pass thrown their way when they are open. Offensive Transfers - Darrian Felix RB Cade Fortin QB Noah Johnson QB Alec Valet OG Mitchell Brinkman TE Demontrey Jacobs OL TJ Robinson DB Jared Sackett K David Anderton OG Michael Cucci WR Garret Reynolds WR
