  1. When I made this thread, FSU still had UUF a their OOC game. They actually have no OOC game still scheduled unlike Miami, so we actually have a better chance of playing them than Miami.
  2. I see him coaching if he doesnt stay in the league long.
  3. I think budddy is a walk on and they havent really spoke about the walk on players yet.
  4. Yea, I realized that after my thread was on it's second page lol, I think currently they have 3 out of conference games still scheduled they can choose from. Buuuut I think they don't have to stick with their current opponents. Currently they have Wagner , Temple. and some other scrub.
  5. It gets better. As of now, FIU doesnt have any canceled games so UM has to choose USF, FAU or UCF. We are the safer bet so they probably will pick us.
  6. Per the ACC " All non-conference game opponents, selected by the respective school, must be played in the home state of the ACC institution, and all non-conference opponents must meet the medical protocol requirements as agreed upon by the ACC". Thats leave USF, FAU, FIU (Whom they may want revenge) and UCF. It comes down to which school'a AD can pull it off. I hope Kelly can work some magic.
  7. Noah Johnson shall take us to the promise land.
  8. When did I ever say CCS was successful? I just feel Skip holtz was worse and does not and did not nearly get as much hate as Taggart or CCS did. Just makes me question stuff at times.
  9. You missed my point. II was referring to how some of you give all of credit for Taggart and CCS to their quarterbacks. I feel that is a dumb statement b/c EVERY successful college coach has had a good QB or players to help them attain success.
  10. He didnt have a good QB when he wasnt successful. This part of the convo is referring to the statement that Taggart/CCS owe their success to QF and Bridgewater. I feel that is a dumb statement b/c EVERY successful college coach had a good QB or players to help them attain success.
  11. Yes so CCS and Taggart did their jobs and recruited Bridgewater and QF. My question was why do people use the term "bailed out" or "owe their success to" the QB when speaking on CCS or Taggart. ALL successful coaches have a good QB.
  12. CCS lived his life and has a comfy job at Alabama. If feel we will have plenty of success with CCS players in 2020. If you want to embrace failure b4 it happens go ahead, but I think we get 9-10 wins
  13. I never said he wasnt a bad head coach in any of my posts on this thread. I just compared the numbers. As for this year, who knows. All I can say is that last year, we was really close to 7 wins so we are not as bad as we think. I still think we would have gotten Noah Johnson or kept Tate Rodemaker if CCS was still here. In the end, out of his 3 seasons he had 2 seasons end with a winning record and a waaaaaay better tenure than Holtz who didnt nearly get half the hate that CCS got.
  14. I wasn't crediting Spurrier's success to Wuerfel. I was being sarcastic. In the end, you need a QB that performs at a high level to win PERIOD. So to credit Taggart and Strongs success to QF doesn't make any sense.
  15. Um what college coaches do you know that have success without a good QB? So did Danny Wuerffel bail out Spurrier? I'm lost here. Why is is that Taggart and CCS are the only coaches whose achievements gets credited to their QBs?
  16. That great team CCS had graduated after 2017. The 2016 recruiting class taggart left behind was trash. So CCS only had a great team his first year.
  17. I’m bored so I’m going to play devil’s advocate and piss of some CCS haters. It sometimes baffles me and makes me question the reason behind the hate for Taggart and CCS. So I decided to compare CSH, Taggart, and Strong. I’m leaving Levitt out of this convo. I get it, CCS fizzled out towards the end, but the hate this man gets is nonsense. Taggart's 2016 class was hot trash so he wasn't given a big cupboard of players and had to rebuild. In the end, he only has one season out of 3 with a losing record. When we start winning games this year and next year, just remember we will be doing it with a majority of players that came from CCS regime. CCS/Taggart - Both have at least (2) seasons that ended with winning records and (1) season with at l0 wins CSH - Has only one season with a winning record. CWT and CCS have given us our 2 BEST seasons in the AAC. Skip Holtz - 2010 South Florida 8 - 5 Meineke Car Care Bowl-W 2011 South Florida 5 - 7 No friggen bowl game 2012 South Florida 3 - 9 No Friggen bowl game This man has only 1 winning season and the wins DECLINED each season! Willie Taggart - 2013 South Florida 2–10 2014 South Florida 4–8 2015 South Florida 8–5 L Miami Beach 2016 South Florida 10–2 W Birmingham* Coach Charlie Strong - 2017 South Florida 10–2 2nd (East) W Birmingham 2018 South Florida 7–6 4th (East) L Gasparilla 2019 South Florida 4–8 4th (East) How I rank the coaches - Taggart Strong Holtz
  18. Some people feel it's better to keep their standards low and not get caught by surprise, than have high expectations and be disappointed. I agree with your sentiment.
  19. They want to be as miserable as possible until we start winning.
  20. I’m excited. This team has underutilized a hidden talent. I stand behind my 9-10 win 2020 season claim. I hope all other teams we play this year keep their expectations of us low. Impact Transfers: Offense - Noah Johnson shall take us to the promise land (I think Fortin can do so as well. If McCloud starts that just means he magically got better and should do well too) Demontrey Jacobs - If he is granted eligibility, then He will be the other starting tackle on this line besides Donovan Jennings. With Cecil, Harris, I think we have a much better line this year. Defense - Thad Magnum shall be the alpha dog of the defensive line and help raise the level of the other players on the Dline. Players who shall have coming out shows: Thomas Nance - He shall have a weekly thread about him in the same manner as McCants and DJ. If not this year he will eventually have a thread. Kelly Joiner - He is going to explode this year. I like our squad. I feel a lot of the returning players will level up this year and the transfers coming in shall ball out.
