This was back in early December and they had one of the cfp committee on. They were advocating for Central Florida to be in the final four based on being 12-0 and the USF and Memphis games. 

 

I am am not saying I agree or disagree either way, just pointing out the pompous self declaring of champs has turned advocates into enemies

Arguably indeed.  Here they poked fun for 90 seconds and moved on to playoff talk.  And they only talk about around the country because the farce of it all, not because anyone thought a win over Auburn meant anything.  They’re not talking about UCF’s “amazing” season but how they declared themselves champs.
