The above article that just came out references the one below that came out in March.

 

 

Its a report from the College Football Players Association that calculates income of the basketball and football programs per season and divides the same rate the NFL uses to pay players, 46% (NBA gets 50%) and subtracts the cost of tuition from that amount to get a FMV per student.

FMV denied for a football player in the 11-12 season for USF was $75,500. over the next 4 years over $300k. For a member of the basketball team its over $222,000 each for the 13 players, over the next 4 years $824k.
