We offered him right around Jan 23. I think we will be shopping hard for a DE this year. I like the speed, size and smarts on this kid. 6'3", 233#, 4.67- 40, 3.65 GPA. It will be a heck of a fight for him though. Just a taste of him on video.

Jenkins is an explosive, fast-twitch athlete with excellent size and length and plenty of room on his frame to grow. The first thing you notice when you turn on the tape is his burst off the line. Jordan has a great first step and consistently beats his man with his quickness. He’s a spectacular athlete that moves very well in the open field and excels in pursuit. Very aggressive and plays angry. A natural pass rusher with a non-stop motor, Jenkins is a bit raw and tends to rely more on his athletic ability to make plays, but he has all the physical tools to be a dominant player once he refines his technique and learns to use his hands as weapons on a more consistent basis.

Translation to College:

Jenkins could play either defensive end or outside linebacker at the next level, or a combination of the two. How early he sees the field depends on his development as a player and how much more he grows, but physically, he’ll be ready to play as soon as he arrives on campus and has the potential to make an immediate impact.
