Yeah, kinda cool huh. Especially with our recent success with Willie Davis, who stayed committed to USF despite the efforts from all of thos SEC and ACC neighbors of his. I expect that Coach must be tight with their coach to have pulled this off to begin with.

Actually I think this connection might be Coach Shank's doing. He's a Dekalb County guy who went to HS and started coaching right next door to me. Coach Gartrell is a Dekalb County legend(20+ years of coaching) and Shank was a Dekalb County product as well. Nice article about a HS coach who has integrity and wants his kids to go to college included in link. It's great that we are recruiting in this area, it is a football crazy part of Georgia.
