They held the tame to 132 yards on 37 Carries, 3.6 ypc-Bulls WinIn 2007 held Slaton to 54 yards on 13 carries, 4.1 ypc. The team went 48 for 188, only 3.9 ypc.-Bulls WinIn 2008 USF held Noel Devine 17 for 90 yards, 5.3**ypc. The team went 40-139 for only 3.5ypc.-Bulls LOSEIn 2009 USF was stout again, allowing Devine only 42 yards on 17 carries for 2.5 ypc. The team went 118 yards on 35 carries. for 3.4 ypc.-Bulls WINAlthough this is not the only factor in this equation, but the years that USF was able to dominate WVU's run game they have been successful in the game as a whole. Even in the Bulls loss, holding a speed team to 139 yards on *40* carries is exceptional. This defense has always matched up quite well to WVU's speed run game, mostly because we have the same if not more (Florida) speed. There's no doubt that Stewart will move Devine all over the field to increase his effectiveness and hopefully break one for a TD. But as long as the Bulls can stuff him at the line, plug the holes and keep him in front of them, they have a great shot to win this game.
