O: We all know USF’s O is way down just by watching us waddle and tumble around out there, and the numbers back that up. The Bulls are outside the top 100 in a variety of categories, including total passing yards (805=108th), passing yards per game (161=103rd), completion percentage (53 percent=104th), total yards (1,686=103rd) and 3rd down efficiency (27 percent=114th). West Virginia’s near the middle of the FBS pack in almost all of these categories.

D: The Bulls hang their hat on Defense, but so do the Mountaineers. The Bulls are 54th in rush D (146 ypg), 12th in pass D (155 ypg) and 18th in total D (301 ypg). WVU comes in 9th, 19th and 7th in those same categories.

KR/PR: USF is nearly spot in the middle of FBS teams with 21 yards per KR (WVU’s 19 ypKR is close to bottom), while the Bulls are 10th with 15 ypPR (WVU is 23rd with 12 ypPR). As always, good coverage is key.

Kicking/Punting: A bright spot all season for USF, special teams is the way to keep USF in it as they average 39 yards per punt (WVU is just at 37 ypP). In the kicking game, the Bulls are in the bottom half of the FBS with just 4 FG but WVU is just 1 FG better. To put that in perspective, the nationa’s leader has 14 FGs. USF’ll have to bank on Bonani, who would have had two FGs last week if it wasn’t for an offsides penalty.

Turnovers: The Bulls are +1 for the season on turnover margin. Sounds good, right? How about now: USF has caused just 1 turnover (a fumble against SYR last week) for a -6 margin in two games against BCS teams."
