Hackney was UAB's stud QB and thank God it rained so hard that night!

CJL should consider having a REAL game with full contact rather than the half hearted way we play now.

That sounds like a great idea until Hall blows an ACL, ruins his NFL chances and leaves us with an empty backfield.

We should also play our BEST team against the others.

JL needs to do whatever he thinks is going to give us the best chance to win in the fall.  When we start going to bowl games regularly, we won't have to worry about spring game attendance.

Everything else sounds good.

Chase...I was basically taking a page from UL who had 12,000 fans in attendance for their spring. THEY make the game EXCITING to watch.

The way we play it NOW Hall could get injured, the change doesn't effect him at all.

Right now we don't return kickoffs and punts and when a QB is "touched" he's considered down, so he doesn't have a chance to get away and scramble like in a real game.

It's been pretty much a bore with Coaches choosing up sides, as the kids then don't get to play in the their normal "unit".

I understand CJL not wanting our players to get hurt, but OTHER teams do have live contact and play their normal units.

After all, we do have full contact scrimmages sometimes in practice so why not the spring game when people are there to watch?
