...b/c what else could explain the fire sale going on in Oakland. First they trade Hudson for a couple of no names to the ATL and now they give away Mark Mulder to the Cards for a couple of prospects.

What the hell is going on over there?

Well to be honest....I'm just pissed that the Yankees couldn't get either one of these guys and instead are settling for Pavano and Randy Johnson.

I agree, either one would be better long term, but you still got the two best free agent pitchers on the market short term.

Any word if the Twins finally signed Santana?  Supposedly they had not as of last night at 11:30pm... and he was to become a free agent at midnight if not signed.

That would be a much dumber move than even oakland's fire sale.
