I, like many others, have not been able to find a single good reason a conference would expand past 12 teams. I have seen other people respond with posts like "more money" but they could never give a reason why there would be more money.

I think this article gives a legitimate explanation. In this case, I would think the Big Ten would be mad not to expand with Rutgers at the very least. I could then see them adding Mizzou and Pitt. Based on this article, the programs don't really matter. All that matters is market size.

Actually if you read this guys next article, then the addition of Pitt and Mizzou is not likely. More like Nebraska & Colorado. Sounds crazy but I get it now.
