From ESPN recruiting on Jan. 19:

Four-star prospect Willis Wright (Miami/Springs) updated ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com on the current status of his recruitment.

"West Virginia, UM, Ole Miss, USF and FIU," Wright said. "My visits were real cool. I liked everything I saw, but I got to be a man and make my own decision. It got to make the decision as to where I want to be the next few years."

He continued, "I am waiting til signing date, February 3rd, that's my decision date."

Wright, who also made an official visit to Nebraska, caught 29 passes for 677 yards (23.3 average) and 10 touchdowns as a senior.

I totally agree with BillReef. Just take Jamius Gunsby for example. Rivals has him listed as 6-3, 195 pounds when he is clearly much bigger!

Those stats are from 2008. Guess they didn't have time to update it yet.

Willis WILL qualify and sign on Signing day. He is looking to stay in state. My 1st guess is he goes to UM, I think we may be second in line.

From on a post on a NEBRASKA board today:

"Posted Today, 02:45 PM

Miami Springs wide receiver Willis Wright visited FIU last week and his high school coach, Alex Pacheco, said FIU is “right there.â€

Pacheco said that Wright is down to FIU and West Virginia, and will announce on signing day."

Apparently, he has some academic issues which would prevent him from going to Miami or USF.

Everyone keeps referring to "rumors" that he has academic issues, but no one has been able to confirm the source of these "rumors".
