He gave an early verbal to WVU and has now supposedly switched to Marshall, because of their new HC Doc Holliday who originaly recruited him at WVU.

However, Bell still plans on scheduling a visit to USF and WF.

If Holtz can pick Bell off, that would be quite a feat.  How many schollies do we truly have available MB if current commits sign?

I don't have a clue and I'm not sure the coaches' know either. LOL

We probably will have more than expected with the coaching turnover.

His commitment to MU is clear as mud!  ;D

Will Travis Bell actually sign with Marshall? Maybe

by Jason Lieser

Glades Central safety Travis Bell likes Marshall. He also likes West Virginia. And South Florida.

So even though Bell switched his “commitment†from West Virginia to Marshall over the weekend, it’s still uncertain where he will land.

“I like both schools still,†Bell said. “I wouldn’t say I’m committed. I’m weighing my options.

“It’s not signing day yet. I really don’t know what I’m going to do.â€

Bell (6-2, 186, No. 7 on The Big Board) said Sunday he committed to Marshall because of his relationship with head coach Doc Holliday and assistant Jajuan Seider, a former Raider. He initially committed to West Virginia during his visit last September.

Officially, he remains a Marshall commit. That sentence looks sillier every time you read it, regardless of what player or college you interchange in it.

While Bell was unsure of his own commitment to Marshall, he said American Heritage WR Darius Millines switched his pledge from West Virginia to the Thundering Herd. Millines has not returned messages seeking comment.

West Virginia is still in play, and Bell plans to visit USF this weekend. He was also interested in taking a trip to Wake Forest but canceled it.

Bell was an all-area safety for Glades Central with 10 interceptions and 62 tackles last season.

All commitments are non-binding. No player is locked into a school until he signs a national letter of intent. The first day seniors can sign is Feb. 3, national signing day.
